I hope you have not misunderstood my response to another poster. I understand Pep's family situation in as much as he has spoken about. I did not criticise Pep or claim that it was a matter of money. My point was for the Club to replace established legends with players who are of similar calibre, at the time of purchase, is almost impossible financially and practically.
I actually thought Sane had some cracking matches in the first half of that season tbf, the 6-1 win over southampton and 4-0 win against West Ham most notable in my mind. Personally I thought it was contract reasons rather than playing reasons his exclusion from the side or at least a lot less playing time. No coincidence how much our attacking play has diminished in the past 15 months without him. The early signs from Torres are encouraging though.Why?
He wasnt good enough. Sterling and Bernardo were playing better and both were nominated for player of the year that season.
Sané was on the bench for the second half of 18/19 because he wasnt good enough to get ahead of them.

Just more baffling stuff from Pep. Zinchenko has never provided any width from the left in his career. Brilliant he mentions natural width on the left when Cancelo had got past people on the outside a few times but continues to play Sterling on the left providing no width whatsoever.He did say something about wanting to attack with more natural width because Cancelo kept coming inside as a reason why Zinchenko came on, but the reason Walker came off and not Cancelo was fatigue.

Sane suffered a serious injury in the first competitive game of the season, that is what froze him out. When he came back the season was disrupted by Covid and probably his move to Bayern almost confirmed. Even then he wasn't frozen out, he played with the Eds then came back to the Senior squad, did you expect him to go straight into the first 11 for a full game after such a long layoff. You have made a very serious accusation regarding the integrity of our manager and now you spread falsehoods about Sane. Garcia is treated differently because of who he is and where he is from. For me it is nonsense to assert otherwise.
