He's probably thinking that the Chumps is beyond his team in the knockout phases with the squad he has available to him.

- A GK that is useless at saving pens.
- A RB that has brain-dead moments creeping into his game.
- A RB that is more effective floating in MF.
- A CB that is now third choice and errors creeping into his game.
- One functioning LB without a reliable backup.
- A DM on his last legs.
- A RW who can blow hot or cold.
- A world class MF slowly being nursed into action.
- A world class striker slowly being nursed into action.
- An offside striker that is more effective on the left.
- A rookie as an emergency striker.
- A front man who's touch, goals and form has deserted him.

Other than that, its looking good for the PL title.
All teams left in the champs league ain’t perfect all we should worry about is the referees and var.

Moss couldn't wait to give it could he.

Ref gives penalty VAR agree, ref does not give penalty VAR agree.

Until VAR is operated by an independent body and not those PGMOL idiots then these sort of things will continue.
If you compare the video reviews for the challenge on Foden last night to the potential handball penalty for the rags vs Chelsea
How many times was the potential handball shown vs the number of times the keeper's tackle on Foden shown!
You could almost say the VAR officials were desperate for one to be awarded and the other not

narrator: “The team lost once in nearly 30 games but for some, that was a step too far...”

I was of the opinion before his bad injury that Laporte doesn't read the game very well and is far too reactive to be a 'top' defender. His injury was largely self-inflicted, due to him trying to tackle with the wrong foot. Anyone who has played the game would have seen that - It wasn't the first time and it wasn't the last... He's all over the shop.

Dias and Stones (and in my opinion, Nathan Ake) read danger better and are more proactive (and therefore more reliable) defenders than Laporte.

It must be frustrating for any coach to see multi-million pound players making basic errors. He's not 'Mangala level' of bad, but Laporte is almost certainly at number four in our list of central defenders, and I can't see him being at City next season.

That's a proper hatchet job , Laporte was widely considered the 2nd best defender after the "best defender in the world" at the Dippers before Laporte suffered his serious injury , dont mind people's opinions of a player its their entitlement , but don't re-write history , Laporte was a brilliant defender before his injury and is still a very competent replacement for either Stones or Dias. As for preferring Nathan Ake or Garcia ........really ?

Laporte is a fantastic player but a combination of stones & dias is better. Laporte would need to improve his mistakes and knuckle down. Dias is a monster of a defender who will reach Komps level. Imo Laporte is feeling threatened and rightly so. Up your game bud.

Nothing wrong with Pep. Just animated after an awful penalty decision and a meh performance from the players. Perfectly understandable.

It's all about flexibility and ability to fit into different roles. Laporte is no more than a standard 'up and down' centre back who will work hard but is very lmited. No better than Jonny Evans imo.
I think we may well see Ake more involved before next season. He's quick, ideal as CB in a four or left side of a back three and can fit in as DM if needed. He's much more of a Pep-style player.
Made me laugh

It begs the question 'where do VAR get their video feed from'?

One might think that last nights TV hosts may have had more than a vested interest in making the title race a bit more 'sporty'.

I think he was just pissed with the most outrageous VAR decision he, and us, have likely ever seen. And likely will ever see again. It was an embarrassment to the Premier League, and English football, that bad.

That was not one of their usual subliminal cheating, borderline calls, where they put 3d lines on a picture then manipulate Ball contact, and Frame rates for their desired result.

It was 100% in your face overt cheating.

At the time it was 1-1 and we were not playing great.

I also agree with his sentiments, everything we have won over 4 years, we have won, with no help.

Nothing wrong with VAR.

Other than the fact VAR is being used as another method for cheating by those within the Premier League with ulterior motives.

Time we brought in top officials from over seas with no Premier League Club affiliations to do VAR reviews.

Cheating bastards.
