Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

I think you just lost your zen.
Nah, it's been a long time coming. Being Zen on planet earth year 2020 is only truly possible 8f you live isolated from everyone or are Uber rich in which case it's a joke to be "Zen". It's aspirational for me... Me on my best day. Besides as a City fan, being Zen is an absolute misnomer.

You didn't exactly read between the lines there.
If you had something subliminal between the lines it was extremely well hidden. what I read was your opinion of people who were complaining about Peps tactics.
Describing them as " pitifully greedy and petulant" and stating that you.... "get so F'ing sick of the whining and lack of respect"

Fair enough if I've misunderstood though

Either way,or the health of our club......if he hasn't already informed the hierarchy and players of his intentions, then some clarity regarding his future is now essential.

Perhaps he has already? hence the visible drop off in enthusiasm and motivation.

I don’t know if you are saying this because he won against arsenal. We might as well get ole because all he did was defend with 10 and break on the counter and you know that is not how we play. He might be good but we can do better

No, nothing to do with that. Just have feeling we could turn to him. He’s not for me either. I still hope Pep will stay. If he does decide to leave I don’t know who I would like to be honest.

Oh okay yeah. I don’t fancy rodgers, I would prefer the ajax guy, nagelsmann and pochettino before rodgers. I would like pep to take on the challenge and rebuild but I won’t mind fresh new ideas from a new coach

I also think his answer to the question about his future was a bit weird “my future is bright, it’s brilliant”. It feels like an answer to deflect from or conceal the truth, that it’s a decision he’s already made. It’s the art of ‘lying’ whilst telling the truth. I don’t doubt that his future is bright, but we all know it’s not with City, which was what the question was wanting clarity on.

Bielsa anyone?

Or do the players need a break from what would be an even higher intensity than Pep

It's going to be poch. Bielsa will develop Leeds and nagelsmann has contract till 2023. Poch is free so could come next summer. Pep could go to Barca or PSG

Getting tired of hearing Pep moaning about the workload for players, it's like a broken record after every game and is his ready made excuse when we play shit. Nobody is sympathetic Pep not when they're still earning their ridiculous weekly salaries, they've not had to take a wage cut. Yeah, we do play too much football and if you're that concerned about burnout let's give the young energetic players more of a chance, you know the ones you discard after one match if they've not played super well. Delap, Palmer and Doyle, there's three for a start, just give them a run of games please.

No way is Pep going straight back in to management when he leaves us, will take a long break from football I feel
Why? Only time he took a break was after barcelona because of President's politics and he was fed up of it. He didn't take a break after Bayern.

Different circumstances mate, five seasons with us the longest he's ever been at a club looks like it's draining him. He will want to recharge the batteries then come back when football is real again.

Pep will stay the season here . Football will real again next year. Ofcourse we are assuming stuffs we don't know what's on his mind but imo he is most probably going home to barca . With the new president and players that will immediately buy his tactics/philosophy it looks like a good match.

A very feasible option that

That's the way I feel about him at the moment. He's just not the same guy he was before covid, I know he's lost his mother but lot's of us have and we have to get on with it.
I got 3 days off when mine died.
For me his whole demeanor shouts ..I'm Fed up and don't want to be here anymore.
In my opinion he is 100% on his way out, whether he stays the whole season is another question.
Picking the same team that was completely inefective against Porto and not including the two lads who change things around in that game (Foden and Torres) had a profound effect on me even more than the Lyon game.
I'm a fan of Pep, but I have a very strong feeling he's done with us.

Maybe he's as pissed off with recent recruitment as a lot of us are? Perhaps he wanted Haaland, or Sancho or Kai Havertz, or Son, who knows. But for whatever reason the funds seem to have tightened despite the cas victory and lots of clubs being desperate for cash due to covid while we're still financially sound.

But without better players than Rodri, Mahrez, Zinchenko, Mendy and Gundogan, and one fit striker (in a good week!) any manager would struggle, whether that's Pep now or Poch or anyone else next year.

Whoever it is, the team needs a rebuild with players great enough to replace the legends we've recently lost or those that are now too old/injured.
