So, again, you're one of the sheep who thinks that because the manager keeps doing something a certain way, he's got to be right.

I'm glad you've proven my point and helped to clear this up.

When you got 10 opposition outfield players camped behind the ball in their own half (as City increasingly find themselves these days), then the ball often has to go sideways or backward. Otherwise play breaks down and you are on the back foot pretty quickly.

Gundogan is very astute in recognising the lack of space, and playing an enticing pass to try and coax defenders out of position. It' not pretty, but it's a useful tactic. It's rare that he gives the ball away.

Yes that aspect of his game is very good. But when others lose the ball,as Sterling and Mahrez do quite frequently,he becomes useless in a defensive role and leaves us extremely exposed to the counter attack - he has no powers of recovery because his mobility is so poor.

That major flaw is a big problem for the team and not acceptable of a player operating in our engine room.

He was pretty mobile on Tuesday to be fair.

Drop the patronising tone,it does you no favour.

I will always offer praise when its warranted, just as i will criticise when deserved.

Patronising , thats rich coming from you , but you can keep on following me and hanging on my every word, youve got history for it , at least when Gundogan leaves you can move on to some other unfortunate in a blue shirt , with your obsession

You talking about other people having an obsession about a player is absolutely hilarious. Clearly anyone disagreeing with you about Gundogan automatically knows nothing or is a neanderthal...haha!!. Gundogan is a good player but not the star you build him up to be. A star player is someone like KDB giving the team many crucial goals and assists. In 103 appearances for City, Gundogan has 6 assists...think about that...it is clearly not good enough for a supposed top player.
Firstly Gundogan doesnt play the creative role that KDB does, so his assist will never match KDB's figures , as for the obsesssion with Gundogan absolutely not , i dont comment on his performance after every single game he plays , i leave that to others and their agenda. Gundogan is a top player his achievements in the game is the only proof you require.

Don't flatter yourself. Not my fault you couldn't behave like a grown up.

I disagree,i thought he was running in treacle on the rare occasions Marseille upped their game.He is miles off the pace when we are defending a break away, which is often the opposition tactic of choice.
Deary me the opposition is occasionally going to threaten our goal you know, whether we like it or not and, god forbid, we might even concede now and again due to the skill of opposing players ! Our whole game is built around possession and keeping the ball in the opposing half of the pitch, occasionally we will be hit by counter attacks bec ause of he way we play. If we just did a Liverpool and sat back and played on the break with their bum's rush football then all our defence and midfield players would not be exposed the way we sometimes are. The choice is do we want to play Pep's way or Klopp's way ? Give me Pep anyday it is the best football ever seen in English football ! However, I appreciate some for whatever reason some don't like it and want a more direct approach.

Whats that got to do with Gundogan's inability to defend/recover?

Only two players gave the ball away when passing it less than Gundo in the league last season: Rodri & Otamendi.

I know that's not true because De Bruyne misplaced nearly 600 passes last season which is miles more than anyone else.
