COVID-19 — Coronavirus

Is the virus mutation the same as the mink one. I did not realise that. No mention of minks in the report I saw. But the full story was behind a pay wall so I could not follow.

I just saw a report that it was the N439K variation that started in small numbers in Scotland months ago but has since turned up in 12 different countries in Europe and the US. And is considered dangerous because it is on a spike that targets the immune system and might prove a by pass around it.

So I got pretty ill about three weeks ago. Very mild sore throat at night, bit hot and cold. Constant dull headache. Got really bad at one point, smelling wierd shit, wierd tinnitus, cold feeling in ears and toes. Loss of energy, feeling really bad after a little exercise. Ordered a test but lost the swab! Eventually gave up on pushing myself to get better, just rested and took it easy for a couple of weeks. Started to push back a couple of days ago, bit more exercise, getting out and about.

Last night, began all over again. Frozen stiff for hours, really sharp sore throat.

I mean, it's probably not covid, just a random sore throat from some kind neighbour (always coughing in the corridors).

But FFS. Do I isolate, all over again??? Would be about the fourth time this year I've had to make this decision.
Get tested. Either locally or postal.

Yeah, ta. Needed someone to tell me, I was going to leave it again. I'm a fucking wreck at the best of times, and a proper hypochondriac. I've just kept on kicking this, because it seems so fucking ridiculous to keep getting ill, and bits of it could just be the small health problems I sometimes get anyway.

Don't beat yourself up. It's not your fault you've come down with something. The tests are there for you. Take care of yourself.

Eliminate step by step fella, get a test if it’s negative then ring the doctors.

Ps don’t tell the doctor you’re a hypochondriac:-)

Why on Earth during the lockdown are the government shutting down the Women's Super League but not the Premier League? Elite leagues are not all male for goodness sake.

You would think we still lived in the days of the 1918 pandemic.

It should be up to the elite women's league to decide what to do for themselves not be told they do not qualify just because.

Book a test

Right that’s it for the night.
Off to a bonfire party with fireworks, booze and BBQ.
Colloquially known as ‘burn a Catholic night’ which, technically, was last night.

Have a good night everyone.

PS I know someone will report the post, I’ll just say now my family are practising catholics.

I am due to pick up my youngest son tomorrow. He lives with his mum and I am sure I heard boris say that children that live apart from both families can still visit/stay over.
But my missus says he's 18 so isnt a child, I still pay maintenance as he is still in education.
So now I am not sure he can visit now. Last time we went nearly 3 months without him coming over and it was horrible.

He is an adult now and not a child

I think so, unless there's a further mutation possibly and we're talking about different ones?

Scary, and in the current climate far better to over react to this sort of information than under react. 12 people in Denmark infected with this new strain so far. We know how these things start...

To be blunt, this country can survive without the WSL, but we need our weekly dose of the Barclays to keep going.

It doesnt actually give an age.

Parents can still take their children to school, and people can continue existing arrangements for contact between parents and children where they live apart.

Fuck the restrictions. Do what you need to do and follow the basic hygiene protocol.
If all else fails, arrange to meet him in a park and abduct him.

Agree but isnt 18 classed as a adult ? Yes he will also be my child but for the law he is now an adult.
