I'm sorry James, it's not 'absolute rubbish' it's simply an opinion that you don't concur with.

As it happens, I've read a lot of your posts, even going back years before I signed up to this forum. I like a lot of what you write and I keep an eye out for your moniker because I mostly agree with your opinion.

In this case, I do (obviously) agree that a match-fit Aguero has caused the dippers much grief in previous seasons.
However, IMO this will be a high energy game where we need our 10 outfield players to push hard from the off, and to press the bejezus out of them for 90+ minutes if we're to get anything out of the game.
Unfortunately, that's not what Kun's about nowadays, and he wasn't ever entirely comfortable with pressing like a maniac even when he was younger and in his absolute pomp.
Thus, my opinion remains that Jesus would always be the better choice for this particular game, for the reasons set out.

And I think the world of Aguero. I think he's the best striker we've ever had for sure, but I've watched him for long enough to know that if he were to be suddenly announced fit to play, then it would be almost pointless playing him because he's never the Aguero we want in the first 2 or 3 games after returning from an injury layoff.

PS. Having said all that, I'd be chuffed to see him coming off the bench on 60 mins, when the heats gone out of the game and he could test himself against tired legs. But not from the off. IMO

I don‘t mind not playing Aguero for another two weeks. Guy needs to be 100% instead of 80 or he is going to get injured again.

Defensively we're much stronger than the last time we played them and they're much, much weaker defensively. I'm feeling positive about this game.

Good reply ,but Aguero starts every time against Liverpool at the Etihad , even when the best centre back ever to kick a ball is in their team Kun runs rings round them , agree to disagree

Jesus would have been a bigger one. I’d have loved to have Sergio available too, but our no.1 striker now is Gabby. If he isn’t then we can’t be the high pressing team we need to be. I reckon when both are fit (if that ever happens) Jesus starts more league games than Sergio. We are so much better with an actual press. I know it’s hard for people to accept but the baton needs to be handed over now, and another striker bought as soon as possible.
 
On this one I'm comfortable enough to say I don't know.. I don't think that there is a perfect line up for this one
I don't think that Cancelo and Gundogan should play
but I'm also not sure if Ake would be as solid as I expect him to be against Salah
I've always believed that KDB and Bernardo should play in the midfield, but I do want to see more possession and the boring passes that Ilkay brings to slow the game down
Torres has been exceptional, but Jesus provides the same pressing and pace plus the finishing..You don't want to bench Jesus when he is in form
Anyways, he is the line up that I would pick;

Ederson
Walker - Dias - Laporte - Ake
Rodri
KDB - Bernardo
Sterling - Jesus - Foden​

Gabby isnt number one , he is as injury prone , sergio will still play a lot
