That's a shocker. I've published numerous scientific papers in my professional career, one of the key things you have to do is declare any conflict of interest or financial interests in the research. If you don't, the paper could be pulled and you are publishing retraction and very possibly fucked career wise as a research scientist. That is just for a scientific paper that probably won't make a difference to most people. To be in charge of vaccine that will be used by millions of patients and not declare that interest is extraordinary.

Another example of the shoddy science and let's face it, corruption, that's going on is below.

I saw a meme today where Rees Mogg was quoted as saying Trump would be great for the Tories going forward. I laughed my arse off. Boris's fellow racist and bumbling **** pal is on his way out. And the Dems will not deal with them if he endangers the Good Friday. Fun times ahead.

For me the hospital PPE and not closing our borders were the biggest failures.

We had to give our front line the best equipment possible, and allowing people to come into this country from high case areas was ridiculous. As an island all we needed to do was close the airports and we would have faced a much better situation. We aren’t like Germany with nine countries and dozens and dozens of roads and open land bordering us. Islands can close their borders easily!

Test, track and trace will be very difficult to work well when this is a virus that presents itself with mild symptoms that people might not even notice having so wouldn’t even register with them to get a test, and then having a fair percentage of people being completely asymptomatic whilst carrying the virus so certainly not going to get tested.

It’s spread by people who don’t know they had it. How can T&T compete with that?

Plus even with people getting tested with a good T&T system, if the spread is moving faster than tracks and traces keep up with the population, as well as idiots who don’t isolate or idiot bosses who don’t let their employees isolate if they have no symptoms, it is always going to behind where it needs to be.
