I would dismiss that as the usual RW conspiratorial bollocks/lies from Trump, but it does seem that there is a media blackout of sorts regarding the legal challenge.
Not sure I follow you. Some spurious legal challenge to a free and fair election means that somehow Donald Trump has suddenly become NOT a massive **** after all? Please advise me if I am missing something obvious

Been lurking on this thread for months now. I don't post because politics is not my forte. My arguments would be based on nothing more than my seething hatred for trump. I have to admit i was truly devastated when i woke up on the 4th because i thought we had another 4 years of the fanta ****. There was a small group on here though that never wavered and said that this would happen and you helped to keep the hope alive. You know who you are and i thank you. Feels like a bright spring morning at the moment. Hope.

I'm just intrigued as to why people who have no understanding of the US culture and haven't even visited the place should think the rest of us should hear their view on who should be president lol.
Because nearly 70m of the dumbest demographic thinks Trump is the best idea. I have never been Stateside but I sure as fuck know right from wrong.

There absolutely is not. I saw BBC and Sky show the full Guliani speech nonsense. Sky have just asked Alan Dershowitz about it and had a full interview on it. The Grauniad has his legal intentions to challenge splashed all over their live feed and articles written solely about it. So to every news outlet I have seen. Without fail.

I find it interesting that the whole thing is becoming framed in a sort of 'star wars' morality - right from wrong etc and actually quite a few star wars analogies being drawn on the last few pages. The worrying for the US is that both sides of this debate see each other as 'the dark side' and themselves as the Jedi. I can't help but wonder if this is in fact 140m people being wound up and played into taking part in a huge version of cheggers plays pop rather than a celebratory democratic exercise.

What?

apart from Trump being absolute bell end this new president will carry on what those above him tell him to do!

Seems a lot of people over here taken a lot of notice of what’s going over there, but individually how does it effect anyone I’ve here?!

Not sure what you are on about in the first paragraph.

But the second paragraph is an often repeated fallacy.

Take the politics out if it.

This man was truly corrosive for American society. There was a whole generation of kids growing up seeing that you can be rewarded and get to the highest office in the land whilst being a compulsive liar and self obsessed scumbag.

The erosion of confidence in a free press was something that accelerated massively under this clown. Never before have we seen an American president who would just claim something was fake unless it pumped up his ego.

His whole character is repulsive and the normalisation of that in power sets humanity on an awful path.

As America is the most newsworthy country in the world, these effects are not just restricted to their country. They affect opinions, kids and standards of honesty and civility here too.

And that before you even get into the political and societal consequences of his political decisions.

I struggle to see how people cannot realise this.

I can’t believe that he’s going to the courts to overturn a democratic vote. That would never happen in the UK.

house? Fucking house? You mean that you don't own a sky scraper named after yourself? You sir have no class.
Skyscraper? That's what "we" call our house. Actually on reflection you may be right. Never been comfortable wearing a napkin. I have also been known to piss in the sink when the occasion requires.

For clarity I do not own a building more than three storeys tall.

I’d lock Biden in a bubble now hoping he doesn’t get Covid, what would happen if he croaked before January does the Vice President elect get the job?
