Here is the data taken straight from the 5 day old data showing the case numbers for the 7 days up to then and the weekly pop score relating them to the 100,000 population equalising score - again as it was 5 days ago based on the numbers versus the previous week.
This is what the government use to chart these top 10 red watch areas (and others just below the top 10 - including much of the NW of course) for consideration of special measures.
I update the Weekly Pop score every day for the 10 boroughs in my evening GM report which allows you some way to compare how the GM towns have been doing since the fully finalised data from 5 days ago creates the list below.
As places will have gone up and down since 3 Nov and the daily reports help show in what way.
TOP TEN WEEKLY POP LOCATIONS FROM THE DATA UP TO 3 NOV
| Oldham | | 1840 | | 776 |
Blackburn with Darwen | | 1083 | | 723 |
Wigan | | 2053 | | 624 |
Kingston upon Hull, City of | | 1615 | | 621 |
Merthyr Tydfil | |
368 | | 610 |
North East Lincolnshire | | 955 | | 598 |
Bury | | 1127 | | 590 |
Rochdale | | 1311 | | 589 |
Salford | | 1512 | | 584 |
Bradford | | 3109 | | 575 |
For the GM locations in this list in the 4 days since Oldham has added 1120 cases and its current Pop has risen to 789 then fallen back and was 778 last night. Its weekly total over those 5 days was last night just 5 up on the 1840.
Blackburn has added 846 cases in those 4 days which is up on the rate 5 days ago and has seen it's overall Pop score become the first in the UK to top 5000. It may well now be above Oldham. But it will be close.
Wigan's weekly cases has fallen slightly to 2010 over last 5 days and its pop has gone up and down but was at 611 last night.
Bury has been up and down and last night its weekly cases were up slightly at 1131 and its pop score to 590. So little change there.
Rochdale weekly score up slightly to 1343 last night and its pop up to 604.
Salford weekly case total has fallen to 1492 and its Pop to 577.
So generally GM have done better in the past few days and most scores are going down.
But that could change tonight.
