i went for a test last week, phoned at 7.00am had my test by 9.15am results by 7am the next morning , the whole testing took 2 minutes, the place was empty , i think the capacity it there to test 500k ,but you are not allowed a test unless you have symptoms , they should start with the essential workers ,get those tested then work their way through the nation

They wont test essential workers as a priority as that would lead to essential workers being off work all over the gaff.

They don't even test the workers who work on the testing sites.

So people are gathering in town to protest against the lockdown and by doing so are greatly increasing the risk of it spreading further which will prolong the lockdown they are “protesting” against. Genius! I bet there’s no more than 4 GNVQ’s in travel and tourism between the lot of them.
The morons will probably spread it to coppers and stewards. Then start crying on social media if somebody gives them a slap

Surprisingly 'good' England hospital death data.

It is Sunday, of course, but unexpectedly it is DOWN from last Sunday's 137 at 122.

Moreover both Yorkshire at 39 and the Midlands at 28 have more than the NWs 23 deaths.

The NW always do under report deaths at weekend so likely will catch up Tuesday. And both those regions had more than the NW last Sunday for the same reason. But this is still good news to see a week to week fall.

Scotland data:

3 deaths

1115 cases at 7.34% positive

1245 in hospital (unchanged)

111 in icu ventilator beds (up 5)

Scotland 3 wks ago v 2 wks v last wk v today

Deaths 0 v 1 v 6 v 3 today

Cases Lab Error v 1303 v 1148 v 1115 today

Patients 703 v 1016 v 1193 v 1245 today

Icu ventilators 62 v 86 v 81 v 111 today - a worrying rise here in past week but otherwise more evidence of the stalling numbers at least.

England hospital deaths in detail:

7 Nov adds 22 = 22 after 1 day (Last week 31 was added)

6 Nov adds 76 = 131 after 2 days (Last week 76 was added)

5 Nov adds 15 = 170 after 3 days (Last week 17 was added)

4 Nov adds 4 = 218 after 4 days (Last week 5 was added) 218 is the highest day 4 total since 5 May.

3 Nov adds 1 = 192 after 5 days (Last week 5 was added).

The other 4 deaths were added 1 each to 26 Oct = 163. 23 Oct = 141. 17 Oct = 127 and 15 Oct = 89.

It is always wise to be cautious with Sunday data and there might well be a catch up tomorrow and especially on Tuesday as Monday data is usually low too given it comes from today up to 4pm. But this is not just a week to week fall for the first time in a week or two but also as you see above no new back steps recorded in the case numbers and not one of the add ons to the past 5 days total was more - and 4 of the 5 were less - than the same days add ons a week ago.

That has not happened for some time either.

So yes cautious optimism on these numbers seems wise.

N Ireland data

7 deaths

420 cases

The 7 day weekly total falls under 4000 to 3909 for first time in weeks after many days of successive falls during the circuit breaker here.

Care home outbreaks have not increased from 126 either sine mid week.

Patients 396 - up 5.

ICU Ventilator beds up 2 to 55.

Frustrating that with each day that passes, there's some bad news to take from them in that cases being down today (good thing) is cancelled out with the % positive increase (bad thing). Yesterday was vice versa. Longing for the day case numbers reduce consistently along with the % positive figure and so on.

The girl with the sign in that last photo, clearly doesn't get it. Big smile on her face without a care in the world for the 1% or 0.5% or whatever who are becoming critically ill and dying from this. Does my head in.
There's no helping some people. I respect their right to protest however much I may disagree but she obviously hasn't been touched personally by what's going on

N Ireland 3 wks ago v 2 wks v last wk v today

Deaths 5 v 8 v 8 v 7 today

Cases 1012 v 896 v 685 v 420 today - again very clear signs of a good decrease during restrictions

The 7 day rolling case total was 6898 - 3 weeks ago, 5011 last Sunday and now 3909 today as proof positive the above is a real downward trend in cases day to day and week to week during circuit breaker and not just weekend numbers.

Patients 228 v 317 v 361 v 396 today - again clear evidence of a slowing down

ICU ventilators 23 v 27 v 41 v ?? - less so here - though to explain that number it is the total in icu not on ventilator beds as such. On Friday (last day we have the exact data for ventilators it was 49 in icu and 39 in ventilated beds there - so the icu beds have risen by 6 and it is not clear what has happened to the 39 total but it is likely to be somewhere around that or just above).

I have stopped posting the % comparisons as they are not being consistently reported day to day or around the UK or easy to cross relate so it is very hard to be sure what is what from where.

Here is the data taken straight from the 5 day old data showing the case numbers for the 7 days up to then and the weekly pop score relating them to the 100,000 population equalising score - again as it was 5 days ago based on the numbers versus the previous week.

This is what the government use to chart these top 10 red watch areas (and others just below the top 10 - including much of the NW of course) for consideration of special measures.

I update the Weekly Pop score every day for the 10 boroughs in my evening GM report which allows you some way to compare how the GM towns have been doing since the fully finalised data from 5 days ago creates the list below.

As places will have gone up and down since 3 Nov and the daily reports help show in what way.

TOP TEN WEEKLY POP LOCATIONS FROM THE DATA UP TO 3 NOV

Oldham1840776

Blackburn with Darwen
1083723

Wigan
2053624

Kingston upon Hull, City of
1615621

Merthyr Tydfil

368
610

North East Lincolnshire
955598

Bury
1127590

Rochdale
1311589

Salford
1512584

Bradford
3109575

For the GM locations in this list in the 4 days since Oldham has added 1120 cases and its current Pop has risen to 789 then fallen back and was 778 last night. Its weekly total over those 5 days was last night just 5 up on the 1840.

Blackburn has added 846 cases in those 4 days which is up on the rate 5 days ago and has seen it's overall Pop score become the first in the UK to top 5000. It may well now be above Oldham. But it will be close.

Wigan's weekly cases has fallen slightly to 2010 over last 5 days and its pop has gone up and down but was at 611 last night.

Bury has been up and down and last night its weekly cases were up slightly at 1131 and its pop score to 590. So little change there.

Rochdale weekly score up slightly to 1343 last night and its pop up to 604.

Salford weekly case total has fallen to 1492 and its Pop to 577.

So generally GM have done better in the past few days and most scores are going down.

But that could change tonight.

Off to watch the match so the other data will be after that tonight.

Though some good news to end on

Cases down to 20, 572 and all settings deaths 156.

Down on 23, 254 cases and 162 deaths last Sunday.

good - few signs we make have this second wave starting to peak and now decline??

selfish wankers. We are too soft. I would have arrrested them alll and put them on a remote Scottish island until it is all over. Absolute wankstains.
It's understandable to me that this would happen, Mancs have been under restrictions for far too long, were left on their own for a while. It's always been true that, once people find themselves really involved with a view, like, Lockdown is wrong, they start to gather other beliefs that support their position. Social media just makes it worse, there's so much absolute horseshit, and people will believe just about anything. That, I guess, is why they didn't wear masks. They actually don't believe in any of it any more. Very sad.

Quick update at half time.

Good day for both NW and GM. Everything well down.

Lowest NW total in about 6 weeks and lowest GM total in about 3 weeks. - a whopping 800 lower than yesterday!

As both were well down GM % of NW total only fell to 50%.
