Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Pep Guardiola on #ManCity fans: "I never forget when I learned about when these fans were in Maine Road, in the second division, not fighting where we are now, and 35,000 follow the team. That shows how special a club is. It’s not just about winning titles..."

Pep Guardiola to #ManCity fans: "I don’t want to leave without saying hello and maybe bye in the in the stadium. They must know we think a lot about them when we play. How empty and sad it is. But hopefully it will finish soon and finally we can be together..."

Worth remembering the PL records set under Pep

Premier League (2), FA Cup (1), League Cup (3), Community Shield (2)

Most points: 100

Most wins: 32

Most home wins: 18

Most away wins: 16

Most consecutive wins: 18

Most consecutive away wins: 11

Biggest title-winning margin: 19

Most goals: 107

Best goal difference: +79

The 2019-20 season saw Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne, Gabriel Jesus, and Riyad Mahrez all score at least 10 goals - the first in the history of the Premier League five players from the same team have hit double figures.

It does feel like we are ready to kick on now. Everyone is supposed to be fit now apart from Aké but we don't know if he's really out or not.

The international breaks are over until March. Pep's future is sorted. Gabby has come back from injury fired up, Phil and Torres making waves, the defence has gotten to know each other and is looking brilliant.

Time to get going, play to our standards and see if anyone else can keep up.

I genuinely think if we can find 6 weeks of our 2017-2019 form then the league will be over.
Think the result at the weekend will now have even more of an impact. If we go to Spurs and win, that result should really kick us on and hopefully see us grab hold of this season and win the title - which is very much there for the taking.

If we don't win at Spurs, I feel it'll now be more of a transitional season similar to 16/17 where we know the team is shaping well but isn't complete enough to pick up regular results against the better teams.

Either way, Pep committing is great news and I think we'll be back to the 17-19 level next season either way.

Amazing! Nice to see the Txiki cardboard cutout getting another outing too.
