FFS was watching on City+ no mention on penalties and just when off , back on now watching (but now the score !)

Stanway has been poor for the last couple of games, but she isn’t the only one. There seems to be a massive lack of urgency and movement off the ball. The ball sideways and backwards is all pretty but they’re mucking it up too many times and gifting chances to the opposition. Seems like the girls have lost their desire.
The penalties were shocking.

How about hiring a proper coach in the women's game? We have Guardiola in the mens game not some U18 coach, surely same standard should apply to womens game if we are serious about it.
Said the same in a Facebook group, we should be looking at getting the best manager we can in the women's game for the women's team !

I watched some of the game on the FA Player (MU) stream. Even worse than the game was the commentary, especially the rag co-commentator and her constant use of the adjective "Great". Every touch by a MU player was either, a great pass, a great save, a great tackle, a great shot, a great chance...
I think she was also GRATE

For such a strong squad, we seem to have a lot of players playing out of position including Stanway and Beckie.

it just wasn’t our night but I’m glad the rags didn’t have their finishing boots on either

some decent last ditch defending from Bonner and Esme and the rags defence made crucial challenges too. Most of the chances came from keeper mistakes at both ends.
I thought it was strange having Esme Morgan playing at left back especially as she second choice right back , but she did well I thought, even maybe our person (man) of the match . Also heard Megan Campbell was on the bench , maybe would of been good to give her a run out for the last 15 or so mins after such a long lay of with a injury ?

Same here, and we pay for that, bloody ridiculous.
Seem too interested in making "programmes" then covering Football matches , maybe they need reminding it a "Football club" and start with match coverage before anything else ! With Women, U18 and EDS there's a lot of live Football that can be covered !

I agree about Esme Kev. She made some telling challenges and has improved on the ball. It was just difficult to get forward down the left with two predominantly right sided players on our left flank. It would have been good to see Megan get a run out too.

It was a strange left side with a right footed left back and a right footed winger (Georgia Stanway) down that side ?

Agreed, the one thing is U18 might be a matter of parental permission, if one doesn't give it, they probably can't show it, I don't know that is the issue, but I suspect it is.

For a cup game I didn’t understand why there was no extra-time or a penalty Shoot-out. Who went through?
It's group games, so although united "won" on penalties, we still get a point for the draw, so it takes us to 7, and all the rest are on 3, and it looks like there is one game to play (everton v united, but no idea why it hasn't been played), so we are through regardless.

Having only seen a couple of games this season, despite having brought in Bronze , Greenwood, Mewis and Lavelle , on the face of it the performances appear to have been stilted and aimless at times. Taking time for the players to settle perhaps ?

Brilliant first half last weekend when the rags should have probably been 3 or 4 goals down by half-time and then pushed back in the 2nd half and clinging on at the end. Stoney saw problems in the first half and made changes , whereas Taylor didn't react until very late iirc despite it being apparent that the team wasn't coping with the changes made by the rags.

I thought that was poor management which could have cost us the game. Taylor didn't offer much by explanation for the drop off in the second half nor react positively which I found disappointing.

For those who watch the women regularly , how much do you feel this is down to management / coaching etc by Taylor ?
