Regional hospital data for today:

London Patients up 1454 to 1489, Ventilators down 251 to 248,

Midlands Patients up 3044 to 3121. Ventilators up 288 to 303.

Yorkshire Patients up 3172 to 3245, Ventilators up 239 to 240.

The North West:

Patients - up 2694 to 2711 (was 2959 last Monday)

Ventilators - up 228 to 233 (was 259 last Monday)

As you can see - NW that was the region with most patients and ventilated patients 2 weeks ago now is well behind in 3 rd place on patients and with fewer in than a week ago unlike all other regions.

And ventilators are down week to week and Midlands are now 70 more and both Yorkshire and London currently have more too.

Given we have been in lockdown for nearly 3 weeks how have infections not dropped? I've personally been out once a week to do the big shop and have only left the house to go for a run.

Are families still just continuing to mix etc?

So it looks like a gamble.
Save retail by opening shops for the Xmas period and risk a third wave and lockdown in January after the inevitable Christmas blow out?
Interesting to see if the boy Whitty is happy with that risk.

you would love it not to work just to political point score. Go on admit it.
