If he’s playing players based on form then why is sterling starting. Mahrez other then last week has been poor as well
 
This is his 4th season with the first team and he’s started 16 league games. To put that into context, that’s less starts than Ansu Fati has for Barcelona and he’s 2.5 years younger than Foden.

Its absolutely pathetic and staggering that some keep defending this.

Different standards apply to Foden than to other players. He is being treated like Sane.

it would make sense if he was just breaking through, but that’s not the case. And every game he does play he’s great.

I think city fans are bemused as to why he’s not playing games. He’s too good to be on the bench every week

Not all fans are bemused. Long old season with loads of games to play
 
With Pep playing a system that only has one attacking midfielder, it’s not that surprising it’s Kev. That means Phil needs to be better than Sterling, Torres, Mahrez, Bernie to get a PL start. I don’t worry, he will in time and meanwhile he is getting plenty minutes in the CL.

Well I can only believe that Pep thinks he's the only one who can play LW. We also need to get some form into Sterling imo. I think Foden should be playing but trying to understand why he isnt.
 
I’m happy to back Pep’s management of Foden at the moment. December is a very busy month in a long season.

I don’t feel Phil has been doing enough to warrant a start but I’m sure he’ll contribute more and get some starts in the Premier League in the future.
 
Why is so much emphasis placed on starts in the league as if nothing else matters? We play to win every competition and up until this week, every game has had something riding on it, he’s playing in competitive games it’s just a random meaningless stat that he hasn’t started the last 6 league games when we’ve had a game in a different competition that he’s featured in between every one of those league games.
 
If he's to become the player we all hope then he needs to be playing more. No good sitting on the bench for half the time. Especially against the likes of Fulham.

Would people on here be happy if KDB was dropped for half the games?

He needs momentum and he's not getting it as the moment he plays really well he's dropped.

Hasn't started in the last 6 premier league games.
