He's a brilliant player but we do need to be careful with him - burning him out by 26 is no good to anyone.
He’s started 16 league games in the three years since he made his debut, I’m not sure if we could have been any more careful.

We have managed him well, yes. He’s started 16 league games in the three years since he made his debut, I’m not sure if we could have been any more careful.
So many terrible decisions. It's astounding he has won 8 major trophies, 2 league titles and broken many all-time records given the number of ridiculous decisions he makes.Yet again a victim of what I like to call "Pep's automated rotation policy".
You're getting your wish, and some....This is a player who can be the world's best and could have 15 more years in and around our first team. The game is littered with top talents who burn brightly and are gone so managing his game time astutely could give us an eternal gem. We play nearly seventy games a season. For me, one in two games is about right this season.
Yeah but what does he know, really? So many terrible decisions. It's astounding he has won 8 major trophies, 2 league titles and broken many all-time records given the number of ridiculous decisions he makes.
I believe he also has a cagoule!Yeah but what does he know, really?
I would like to see him play a little more but that is the impatience of a fan who loves the club and the prospect of one of our own becoming a worldy. When I take off the blue-tinted specs that are welded to my big forehead, I think he is coming along beautifully and Pep is probably managing him well. You're getting your wish, and some....
I'm just gonna hope you are right, because i think this kid should be playing more too.I would like to see him play a little more but that is the impatience of a fan who loves the club and the prospect of one of our own becoming a worldy. Why thank you , PB shares the honour lolKaz l believe those loveable scouse scamps have referred to you personally on twitter as a certified nut job in the cesspit of Blue Moon.
If this is true my question is: may l be the first to congratulate you?
Yes l saw but l didn't know you went hand to hand with the enemy. Why thank you , PB shares the honour lol
You need to find out what annoyed them so much and do it again chuck :)Why thank you , PB shares the honour lol
It's great he's ours and a top talented player but £175m. Really?Probably the most valuable member of our squad in terms of his worth on the transfer market. I'd say he's worth more than Super Kev. If anyone wants to buy him it's £175m. Super Kev £120m. That value alone justifies the expense of running a top class academy.
He's unsellable as far as the club is concerned. It's great he's ours and a top talented player but £175m. Really?
Possibly, but simply querying the £175m valuationHe's unsellable as far as the club is concerned.
Has he started every CL game so far?Must admit I have been getting a bit twitchy about his lack of starts. Then I look at this season in particular and the schedule and think perhaps Pep is taking the view that Foden above most others maybe needed to be at his brilliant best in the months to come and not knackered or worse injured.
Pep can probably see that this is a very big season for Phil and by its end the world might well know quite what a player he can become. This lad could well win titles for both his club and his country over the next decade. Pep might just be getting it right.
That cross today was just world class. "need one for a hat trick Riyad? Here let me make it easy for you!"
