Second person to receive vaccine: William Shakespeare

As we have been reporting, 90-year-old Margaret Keenan was the first person in the UK to receive the Pfizer/BioNTech coronavirus vaccine, outside medical trials.
Now, the BBC's health editor, Hugh Pym, is reporting the second person to receive the jab happens to be called William Shakespeare - and is from Warwickshire.
Of course, the playwright and poet William Shakespeare was born and died in Stratford-upon-Avon - also in Warwickshire.
William Shakespeare, Lord Nelson, Winston Churchill, Boadicea, The Duke of Wellington, Bobby Charlton and Maggie Thatcher all at the front of the queue.

I see the Cambridges surpassed Cummings yesterday and took a jaunt north of the border on a tour to 'spread good cheer to front line workers during the festive period'. As long as thats all they are spreading.

An interesting situation coming up for schools this next week. My daughters school had a positive case yesterday and pretty much half her year have had to go home and self-isolate for 14 days. Now were the school to get a positive case next week (because they don't finish for Christmas till the Thursday) then 14 days isolation from then would take people beyond Christmas day. I can see there being a lot of very unhappy people because that is surely going to happen all over the place.

Infection rates were not the only consideration for setting tiers.

London still continues to have less hospitalisations and deaths by population.

As for Tier 2, don't get too excited. It's marginally less shit.

I am more focused on my family staying healthy than sitting in a restaurant or boozer.
Spot on too many are obsessing with infection rates when there is a whole raft of measures local hospital status, over 60 infections r value, economic impact etc etc

And then went back to hers.
Laughably the 2 articles I’ve just read don’t pull her up on the fact that you shouldn’t be mixing with other households inside at a restaurant in Tier 2. They imply it’s fine that 10 of them split across 2 tables.

Hope the media starts keeping a tally of people vaccinated in the coming weeks and months. It would serve as a fillip to the public and show how we are fighting back against the virus.

Well, well, well. Beth Rigby (trollop), Kay Burley and 6 other sky colleagues met up in 2 different restaurants for dinner in a tier 2 area which breaks restrictions as they aren't from the same household. This is after months of stalking those who have broken the rules calling for resignations.

I wonder if they will now do the decent thing and resign?

"one rule for you, another rule for them" as Beth Rigby (trollop) famously put.
I suppose they would claim it was a business meeting which is rightly or wrongly allowable.

Agreed . Also there are factors involved in the supply of staff including sickness rates, skill mix of peole to deliver care for people in increased number of ICU beds, geographic isolation for travel etc.

First man sounds better

I think we will see it by March potentially with the hospital admission and daily deaths going down. Feels like a landmark day to do and hopefully the tin foil hat wearers can go back to the earth being flat and the moon landings being fake in 2021.

Nope, I am just highlighting something called hypocrisy. Quite shameful that they have spent the pandemic telling the UK public to follow restrictions. They also spent months hounding Cummings, screaming for his resignation for breaching restrictions.

Many businesses had to closed because wankers kept mixing and plenty of people haven't seen friends or family for several months. Not sure why the rule should be different for sky news presenters..
Regarding my reference to Victorian dad, I was referring to your offensive and sexist description of a woman as a 'trollop'.

That's also why it's important to show how many people have been vaccinated so that people can see that as one curve rises the other, God willing, drops. It will also be reassuring to the public if it can see that people are being vaccinated on a continual basis and not in dribs and drabs as we await supplies.

Feeling positive this morning with the start of vaccinations. Took a quick glance at twitter and all the anti vaxx trolls are obsessing over the fact the nurse didn't have gloves on (Which is absolutely normal I believe)
