thought that too. same at spurs stadium, all in the one stand which sort of defeats the purpose of distancingOn our local news tonight, they showed a couple of stadiums with fans in, Portsmouth, they seemed to be spread across the stadium (sensible), but at Reading all in one stand and the "distancing" looked shite to me. Oxford had people in different stands, but only small areas of those stands, so distancing again compromised.
Clubs trying to keep the extra cost down (less stewarding) ? If so it's not very clever.

Of course this is the reason - the local travel infrastructure at some stadiums cannot cope with thousands of non-essential people travelling on it in such a short space of time and maintaining social distancing.
Monitoring a stadium is easy with assigned seating and stewarding but good luck monitoring the trams, buses and train stations 1 hour before and after a game. Who is liability for that...the clubs, the council, the govt, the transport provider?
Singing is amongst the worst things you can do with Covid. It bothers me when I see crowds of people standing relatively closely together singing for hours. Invisble enemy that's why we all naturally think it's a load ofb@llocks. But when you think about 1 in 100 have it then that's 1 in every block in a football ground (approximately). I wouldn't mind passing them in the street briefly. No problem. But a group singing when people are reasonably close together. I don't like the sound of it. Which is why I won't be going back until I've had the jab, a large part of the country has as well, and stadia are back to normal crowd capacity.

You can bet if we were allowed the stewards would be right on our case if we sang, stood up or shouted, which are supposed to be the rules, but totally ignored by all games with fan's I've seen so far.
You can also bet that the Showsec thermometers will be as useless as the wands they've been wafting about upon entering the ground !

Next season at the earliest for me if I can be arsed , the games been ruined by VAR and my enthusiasm for spending shit loads of money has diminished. Might just do the pre match pub crawl in town and watch it on tv .Certainly can’t see any attraction in sitting in a huge stadium with a couple of thousand people, strikes me as a completely soulless experience.

I think it’s going to be an unfair advantage to teams who play away with supporters back in the ground. For example We have to go to klanfield but they did not have to play against us with our home support. Not fair as it does make a difference

Sorry mate, thats just looking for excuses. 2k of fans wont make a difference, the result will be decided by the performance of the players and I doubt players like KDB will be impacted negatively by 2k of fans.

It is not an ideal situation, and in an ideal world fans would all go back in at he same time, but I would not begrudge anyone the opportunity to get back to watch football.
Its been going on in non-lge cup matches over the past couple of mths and those players have managed to deal with it, Im pretty confident our players will be able to. I should have wrote ‘meaningful’ difference.
As for the sporting integrity argument, when has the Premiership ever been fair, when you consider the disparity of wealth etc
