I think you credit me with greater powers that I actually posses, other than perhaps foresight and the ability to see reality.
I cannot actively make Brexit better or worse. I can confidently predict that if we raise barriers to trade, we will do less trade. I can predict that if we force solutions on unwilling countries in our own Union, or raise barriers between countries in our own Union. we will hasten the end of our Union. I can predict that if we force a separation with our European neighbours and seek to make sure it happens during a pandemic, when every country is suffering, we will earn the undying and embittered hostility from those nations for generations to come. For context, see the remarks from the Netherlands and Danish leaders and France and Germany not even talking to Johnson.
I say all this not to hasten, welcome or shape the negative consequences of Brexit, I say this because I have the ability to discern the fucking obvious, in fact so fucking obvious, blind fucking Pew could spot it a fucking mile away.
