Not really , I’d imagine Benn could and would have delivered on promises, he wasn’t driven by bigotry and a yearning for the empire, as for Farage .
Which was the Labour a lot of us 'Labour Leavers' expected to see, but not the Labour we got.

Perhaps the saddest thing about all this, is that if it is a no deal brexit then we could have achieved this by doing article 50 straight after the referendum and got out in summer 2018. We'd have been over any initial 'shock' by the time covid hit and there would have been no need to elect the current PM. Instead we've spent four years fannying about and all the extra 24 months seems to have got us is a pandemic and Boris.

You can’t move for the cloying self pity...

I stand with millions of Britons that are deeply insulted at the shocking news that the German Chancellor has refused the British Prime Minister’s request for a telephone call. This is an insult to every Briton, whether they support our PM or not.

The EU’s contemptuous treatment of the UK makes it clear there cannot be a deal until it accepts the UK as a sovereign equal and awards us the respect and regard we merit.’ @
Kahn, Tory MP for Wakefield.
I don’t feel remotely insulted. By Merkel.

I’d have thought the fact that Farage was involved would sway many against leaving or maybe Francois ? Rees mogg ? Duncan smith ? Johnson ? Gove ? A veritable who’s who of self entitled wankers . The belief that characters like these have the best interests of the general population is laughable . They have promised everything and are about to deliver nothing. Australia deal ?? It’s a no deal , they take the public for mugs and sadly a percentage still lap it up . Nobody voted to be worse
Absolutely a quick glance at the team sheets pre-ref told you all you need to know. Granted the opposition was a bit workmanlike but better the devil you know eh

100% of the trade deal sorted? Because we already have a trade deal? Yet he knew they wanted to dismantle it. Whatever you expected from Brexit can anyone excuse this lying shit?
(Johnson I mean).
