United (A) Post Match Thread

Sure as eggs is eggs, if the game starts poorly for city, it will end that way. Pep sticks to his guns and that is why he has such a poor return on recovering from a losing position.
I have every confidence that had the penalty not been overturned, we would have lost that game and nothing different would have been done.
We are all too frequently becoming boring to watch. Never thought I would say it after what has happened in recent years, but there you go!
Two minutes of stoppage time added to the end of the game was a crime against football!

what he does on the field should not be compared with the good he does off it. Everybody is diving now with var, that's why its strange Pep has gone all defensive when attacking could pay penalty dividends. It wouldn't matter anyway we tend to miss penalties, especially the important ones.
The good off it?

Anyone would think he's the only player in the Premier league who does charity work.

Most of the other players across the league tend to be a little more anonymous about it and they don't have a film crew following them around while they're at it.

It's also really good optics for the club and the media will continue to remind the world and his wife which club he plays for.

the scary thing was the ref did not give it right away ? he thought about it and then listen to somebody in his ear
for a moment i thought VAR would have forgot about the offside and give the pen it looked that way. even the VAR team did its best to stretch the replay of the player passing the ball hoping it could give the pen but even VAR could not make it look onside that god

What a load of rubbish, just made up nonsense to suggest bias, when Var rightly came to the correct decision.

United are one of the few teams in this world that waste more money on players than we do. Long may it continue!

At least the wonderful rent boys are losing! Come on toffee men
And to think I had a blue during the match day thread this afternoon giving it to me... “No chance we win the league this season.. have you seen the likes of Chelsea...”

Ok mate.

Yep, something dodgy going on there. Ref definitely didn't give that straight away.

The ref was clearly bent. You could see he was looking for any opportunity to give them something.
He was from Manchester don’t you know but never declared his allegiance. Don’t worry he doesn’t live there now!

I just watched the Mahrez chance and the De Bruyne follow up, which was arguably our best chance. Pitiful is the word on both attempts and until we snap out of this lethargic half arsed play we aren't winning anything this season, least of all the title
Tbf he tried to lift it up into the net but the pass TO Mahrez was Messi like, sensational. Not many players can think that quickly. Kev was great today, we just don’t have the players to compliment him. His work rate was outstanding.

The debruyne interview after the Spurs defeat has set the tone and allowed excuses and a lower expectation.

He has had a few decent chances like that and they've almost all gone the same way, over the bar or screwed wide, the same as his penalty against the dippers. There's a malaise creeping into the mentality of a few in our squad and I don't like it

Ok I may be old school but playing those cunts is still the biggest game of the season.

This game was probably the first ever derby that I wasn’t nervous before KO, best defence wev’e had for 2 years or more and shit opposition. A point playing those wankers at the swamp isn’t good enough.

pissed off with a point, a young true blue manc would have made the difference

Rashford has a new management company and his 'charity' work has also hugely increased his commercial income. I'm not having a go as he is a United player but it works for many others in the current climate.

it was the right approach apart from Phil coming on at 80 mins and scoring the winner.

It’s feels like COVID is being used as a crutch with us at the moment. Obviously it’s tough, but the same for everyone!
