Somebody from the uk has taken it to italyI’d be surprised if this new strain wasn’t making its way through Europe too.

Allegedly? What other reason could there be?Allegedly
Yeah I read that.Somebody from the uk has taken it to italy
Probably have, just like back in February it was brought here from Italy, its a nightmare for sure.Somebody from the uk has taken it to italy
The reply would be on the Brexit thread mate, lets leave it there.Allegedly? What other reason could there be?
To summarise what I have heard: There is a possibility it will reduce the effectiveness of vaccines although it's unlikely. There have been many variants and the Pfizer vaccine was effective against all. They are checking. Said to take weeks as many tests have to be doneThere has been no suggestion that would be the case so I wouldn’t worry about it.
There'll be many other unknown instances as well, surelySomebody from the uk has taken it to italy
Looking at that official paper on this new strain it estimates that 0.4% of those that get it may die. Are they saying it’s a lot more contagious and a lot less deadly or have they officially revised the death rate overall to 0.4% now?
Who knows who they spread it to on the way , now we have rapid test nobody should be allowed on a plane unless tested firstProbably have, just like back in February it was brought here from Italy, its a nightmare for sure.
It is 70% more contageous but they think no more deadly but more infections will lead to deaths and an overwhelmed nhs ,there is no upside to this situation
It is thought to be able to increase the R by 0.4 on top of the other strain
Ha ha ok mate. Whatever. Nothing to do with a pandemic no? LolThe reply would be on the Brexit thread mate, lets leave it there.
@Ban-jani espoused who would now vote for the tories in this current guise. I said what was the alternative. Both posts were immediately deleted as it was not an "A" political thread, therefore should it not follow the same standards must follow for all. Not that you don't have a voice Len but that voice if A political it must be appropriated to the correcxt context and forum. Our Riculas has spent an eternity in separating threads of this nature. You were picking on another poster @xgorton in a similar vein earlier.
Look at hundreds of other posts on this thread - they all fall into a similar category to mine.
The freight ban is because of COVID!!
That’s Count Riculas, to you.@Ban-jani said last night along the lines of who would now vote for the tories in this current guise/

They won’t, they’ll just park them on the M20 and close it to other traffic. Lot of european drivers will be struggling to get home for xmas. This is a really serious issue, if France are stopping freight how the fuck do you turn around all them lorries?
I fully get banning travel. The trouble with banning freight movement as well is that will have consequences on both sides of the channel. One of our biggest customers is in France and they’re organising collections from us almost every single day. They’re going to be mightily pissed off with this decision because I doubt there’s another company on the whole of the European mainland that makes some of the shite they buy off us!That’s what happens when you try and play Billy Big Bollocks and leave everything to the last minute.
Call him what you wish. All I know is that we all must follow him, and follow him wherever he may go!That’s Count Riculas, to you.
The vaccines are based on the March virus it will gradually evolve away from it as we are seeing.Let’s just hope the vaccines are not any less effective against it.
