And this has of course been proven to be true throughout 2020 - as soon as there was realisation that there would not be an extension

What movement exactly did you expect / do you expect? So far all I can see is that you supported a three / five year extension of fishing rights (movement by the UK) and I'm not sure where that idea has gone. The problem is not that I'm trying to twist your words - it's just that there are so many of them, and so few of them are about stuff that's specific, measurable, achievable, relevant or time limited.

Please god we will see improvements from here, maybe a deal can still be salvaged that protects from the worst disruption. The Oxford vaccine should be authorised any day and hopefully a massively accelerated rollout. I really cant remember feeling so low about the state of the nation. Someone say something positive. Anything.
