Does he know who I am?

2nd time in the last couple of weeks, I've seen a small white bird with some yellowish colour on the top of each wing (shoulder). Wasn't quick enough to get a photo. Someone said it could be a Leucistic Chaffinch?

Advice needed on buying garden bird food please. My supplies have nearly run out and lock-down is here and Amazon is an option, but I have never used them before. What food and which supplier would people recommend. Cheers.

Thank you Kaz, it's snowing here so with some suet stuff, happy tweets.

Used to get all sorts when we had bird feeders. Blue tits, coal tits, bullfinches, blackbirds, thrushes, sparrows, goldfinches all in abundance. We've also had fieldfares, green woodpeckers, red woodpeckers, a sparrowhawk and a kestrel. And of course, pigeons, pigeons, pigeons.

Unfortunately we found that bird feeders are also rat feeders and after a few of sightings of big fat rats running across the garden (in broad daylight), the wife decided the bird feeders had to go.

Rats are everywhere , the birds need feeding

Had about half dozen different kind of bird boxes at different height, and pointing in different directions in the garden trees for about 5 years. Never had any residents. So sad.

Don't know if anyone else listens, but Radio 4's 'Tweet of the Day' is an excellent way to distinguish bird calls. A moment of serenity each morning.
