Yes and no. We have taken back control by leaving it up to thers to decide

Thanks for the source although this suggests we would then need to negotiate with each EU country separately in regards to mobile phone roaming which judging by the pace of negotiating with the EU historically will take ages.

If we leave it up to the destination country then surely they would charge us (well I would) or price it in raising the price of sangria in the Costa del Sol!

Today was just the end of another phase - negotiations with others about trade deals - discussions and disputes with the EU - it will bubble along for ever and a day
Why, a deal has been done. Other trade deals, yes, but they’re coming thick and fast. Imagining Armageddon scenarios is so last year.

For a start its not been ratified by the EU 27 - they are taking their time and will review it in the New Year not push it through in a rush in a day next week. Remember doing that then finding out the WA wasn't what you thought it was?

Then there is the disputes system - who are the "independent arbiters"? I can imagine the ERG going mental if they find the body not to their liking AFTER being whipped to vote for the deal.

Had heard WTO as arbitration but not seen it in print.

They will ratify, you know it, I know it, the arbitrator has been mutually agreed, the ERG have been contacted by Johnson, they may object, but I doubt it. Even Farage has said the Brexit war is over.
Looking for a devastating grenade that may scupper this is futile .

Well that's fantastic news today. It appears we can have 'sovereignty' and a trade deal after all. No doomsday yet.
It's going to fall short from our original membership in the short term, but I think Brexiteers knew that and we can look forward.

I bet we are still discussing this topic next year - mostly about what has not come to pass and why.

Apparently some Labour MPs are going to revolt and vote against the deal.

If they are then I can’t wait to see them named, the people that voted to ruin lives.

How are they ruining lives, when they know it will pass? It's a symbolic act.
