If that's all it takes them I'm surprised there was so much fuss about how impossible trade deals would be. Still, I share your positivity that it appears so. I'm just glad this brexit buisness is all over now, bar a bit of internal angst Sir Kier needs to sort out in his party.
You seem to be making up some bizarre narrative. Trade deals can be fairly straightforward if all you’re doing is rolling one over or if it’s not very ambitious. Come back when we’ve negotiated a deal that’s actually better than one we currently have via the EU until 31 Dec.

“The most effective operator the Tories have”. God help us.

I suppose all politicians have these sort of edited 'highlights' montages on twitter if you have nothing better to do than look them up, but I was only daring to suggest she's done ok with her current brief of getting trade deals done - something which I assumed was impossible in such a short time.

No.

Parliament could have ignored the narrow result of an advisory referendum.

Sadly we are all going to pay the price and no amount of bullshit from you or your pals at the Telegraph, Mail, Express, Spectator et al is going to change it.
The parallels with Trump are uncanny. We need to get over the democratic result and move on. We have a deal, we're out and let's hope 2021 is a better year all round.

Yep. Brexit was led by people as delusional and malign as Trump. Fortunately for the Americans they had the opportunity to correct their mistake after 4 years.
We’re stuck with Brexit and have to make the best of it for the foreseeable future.

Probably a good chance she is playing the fool like Chris Grayling. A mask of incompetence to ensure corrupt dealings before she leaves government slip under the radar.

Well there's Thee Mail as well
And the CEBR forcast should he wish to pay a subscription to recieve their forecasts then he can read the report himself.
Good grief. It's the same source, just reported by different Tory rags.

Where do the CEBR explain how they reckon the UK GDP will be 23% higher than France? It's reported as down to digital, presumably based on the quote by the CEBR deputy chairman, but the report itself says "the UK's graduates were seen as surprisingly unemployable while the country lacked indigenous digital skills, which pre-Brexit were largely substituted for by migrants. The past year has seen a weakening of business dynamism, innovation and a sharp drop in market efficiency". Something of a disconnect, so unless you know how they get to this 23% figure, I should give up with trying to explain it.

Only remainers can laugh at trump not accepting an election result and call him a mad man, idiot etc
yet in the next breath do the very same toys out of the pram thing over brexit
Democracy eh

Anyone would think this year was shaping up well, rather than looking like months of restrictions, deaths and lasting illnesses, a shrunk and shrinking economy and thousands of new hurdles affecting life as we knew it waiting to be put to the test.

At least some of the uncertainty is gone.

I cant wait for the fall out when we suffer setbacks, and repeatedly lower and redefine targets. Cant wait to be told how much i am delighting in negativity because i am likely to remember more than one weeks headlines at a time, and not amenable to swallowing yet another new reality, another new low bar for acceptable standards in government, health and well being, poverty, opportunity, education.

I have to hand it to the man. He really knows how people work. We'll be living in tents, hunting rabbits, and somehow grateful for it.

That’s what I don’t-get though, yes its hypothetical, but I don’t see how you can’t see it happening. I personally can’t see how a new government at some point in the future whether , Labour, or Labour / Lib or Labour SNP, wouldn’t want to re negotiate or negotiate a new.
or different deal.
Even Johnson says this deal isn’t perfect so no doubt him or future consevative leaders will start tweaking and trying to change bits.
You're assuming that this 'Imperfect' deal will be amended, possibly, by some future govt. I would imagine that before any changes are made, the govt would need to explain exactly what needs change, and why. As far as I can see, this deal will fly through because it satisfies Brexit, so what needs to change? If it's in the hope that somehow we'll rejoin the SM, or any other feature, that would, imo, ensure that govt would not be re elected, so I'm at a loss
to fathom exactly what would be changed.

Of course. I always relish winning an argument when someone makes a claim then thinks it pedantic to sustain the claim.

As usual, a full apology awaits if I'm wrong.
What are you talking about ffs, there's a piece in the Telegraph about it, there will almost certainly be others, are you saying I'm lying about it?

Now, if you want to find others, please help yourself.

You'll find articles like this from Iceland to the Russian border.
