the players union needs to get involved and protect their members, as at the moment money is coming before lives.

Then they should have directed their complaint at the Premier League and made clear that their complaint was not with us. They also might have wished those affected a speedy recovery. And no it’s not on the scale of c*ntishness of certain other clubs, but it was pretty classless.

Classless I agree but a little perspective needed given some of the reactions.

Everton still could issue another statement saying just that. Sorry for any miss-understanding but our grip is with the premier league and not Manchester City who we wish a quick and speedy recovery to those affective by the virus.

Would love that to be the case but the club don't take a hard-line with journalists and pundits.

They allow them to say what they want to say and don't take any notice.

In reality in means us fans have to put up with a lot of shit flung at the club.

When the virus outbreak is contained the red carpet will be rolled out for them.
 
Headline news on BBC news web page is "Toughen Rules to Avoid Covid Catastrophe". In the light of Sheffield United announcements of positive covid test results will the league be suspended before it's too late?

I doubt it. Evertons 3 points and uniteds league cup are more important to some people.
