Not sure , he said 530,000 at hand, I took that to mean in place ready to use on Monday. Not the total available and ready to roll out from wherever it’s made and stored to the vaccination centres. I could be wrong though it wasn’t very clear from his answer.
He did stress that the hold up in roll out is supply, pretty sure he said 530,000 were "approved", so maybe others need approval first but are made ?

This. what is the point in these tiers, they can't be making much of a dent on the economy. just lockdown!

We're fucked economically anyway. May as well just go for it. If for a penny, in for a pound etc. Lockdown. Vaccinate the vulnerable. Open up end of Feb.

Dreading my mum going back into classrooms next week on a personal level. Shite.

Grim indeed when you consider that the 981 deaths are of people who got infected 3 or 4 weeks ago when the infection rate was a third of what it is now.

On that basis, daily deaths of a couple of thousand in 3 or 4 weeks time, looks pretty much inevitable at this point.

Just announced secondary schools wont be back until 18th of January apart from exam year kids who will be back on the 11th of January.
Primary schools back as normal, hard to fathom how this is considered safe, surely with the numbers being as high if not higher than first time around, and the new strain being far more potent it would make more sense to close the whole lot down until its safe to reopen

Today

Manchester 202 cases Pop score up by 36

Liverpool 258 cases Pop score up by 52

And Wirral 227 cases Pop score up by 59

So as you see these two Merseyside boroughs were both higher in cases than Manchester and much higher in Pop Score rises because both have smaller populations.

So they BOTH beat the highest in Greater Manchester today easily. And this has been happening for most of the last two weeks.

I know other factors are involved BUT unless there is clear evidence that Merseyside hospitals are much lower than GMs then the difference in tiers is very hard to defend.

It's purely just to allow their parents to keep working, secondary school kids can look after themselves

Reports of a pub in Greenock, Inverclyde, prior to Christmas having officially been open as a 'takeaway service' selling pizzas and such like. Only, what they were really doing was putting pizzas through the till but not actually making them, instead having crowds of 50+ people inside and having a big fuck off Christmas party. Everyone mixing, drinking alcohol, no distancing, singing Christmas songs.

I've seen the video and it's fucking disturbing. Made me feel sick watching it.

Expect it to hit the media soon.

Can this Oxford vaccine be self administered?

After my op in Feb, I had to self inject Heparin once a day for about a month.

In which case, they could post them out like a tax bill.

We'd get them next day.
