you seem to have ignored our history .... why we're City supporters .... we were always the underdogs . are you supporting the right team ?

I am a city fan because my dad and family were and my dad took me to maine road in the 70s and 80s and told me if I ever supported united he would put me up for adoption.
the eu never really came into it to be fair.

Being a City fan means accepting defeat in abundance and moving on for 20 years to eventually succeed, maybe you are not supporting the right team ??

It’s a bit hypocritical of you to join in criticism of someone for this. I remember you having to justify your position as a mainly one thread man and me defending your right to that.
Not my recollection at all, you've got it backwards.

Shame the virus put paid to our Friday Pret meetings in town, the only reason I bought that fucking folding bike was to avoid the car parking charges.
Just leave your bus at a bus stop and open the bonnet. Should be ok for a couple of hours.

Merkel and Macron sat in you say..........

Fair play to them - but given that it is a bloc of 27 equal partners surely it would only be fair to Merkel and Macron for the other 25 leaders to share the burden?

It would also stop people continuing with this apparently stupid view that Germany and France have a greater level of control over the EU than its other members.

The EU is under the control of 27 nations with equally rights and representation isn't it?
Course it is my friend. Id spend a few minutes explaining exactly why but I'm off down to London to pick up a bridge I've just bought.

I do find it worrying that Johnson is already being so disingenuous about it rather than being honest and justifying it instead.

He's not the only one in Parliament who'll have read it. If there was something genuinely disingenuous about this deal it'd be all over the papers by now.

Indeed. Brexit has finished now.

Maybe a new thread should be created that looks ahead and updates us with the new things coming in?

Let’s not give it a negative name though because most of us don’t want to be wallowing in negativity all the time. Like I’ve said above, it’s one of the main reasons I’ve switched off from the Left.

Maybe something like “A New Great Britain Going Forward”?
Agree that any new thread needs a fairly neutral, but also positive, forward-looking title.

I was thinking of something along the lines of “The catastrophic consequences of arguably the worst political decision in modern British history”. It’s succinct, whilst also being non-inflammatory. What do you reckon? ;)

I'm as ticked off about Tiatto's red card as well, but time is a great healer, don't you think?
