Taylor Harwood-Bellis - move to Southampton completed.

With Stones and Laporte out and Dinho in midfield there was only THB and Garcia to choose from
Would rather throw Garcia under the bus than THB. The team right now is a dumpster fire. His game time needs to be managed like Foden's. I genuinely want him to make it here.

You genuinely want us to play the inferior CB just in case hell breaks loose?

Extended his contract by 4 years. Great news! His time will come.

It won't...All 4 of our CBs are young so he'll likely never get the opportunity to prove himself unless we get littered with injuries then he might play until they come back or the more likely scenario is Pep would play someone there out of position(Dinho)

It will be tough for him and I guess a lot depends on what happens with Stones and his contract. City are one of the few sides where the 4th choice CB gets plenty of minutes. 5th choice not so much.

We will see. When I watch him play, he looks like a young John Terry to me. I think, and I hope, that he will be our future captain.

He's starting for the u21's with Delap so he won't be playing tomorrow.

Doyle, Palmer and Braaf not involved at all so they'll be with the senior squad.

Delap is unlucky. I guess if Sergio wasn’t fit enough for a bench cameo, he would have featured in a similar way.

Braaf's presumably injured as he's not played for the EDS/18s for a month now, so I doubt he's involved tomorrow. Came off relatively early on in a game at the start of November (7th) and not been seen since.

Great move, hopefully its the beginning of a trend for our talented kids as they aren't getting the required opportunity here.

What we musn't do is send them on loan to any old club, the destination needs to be beneficial to both parties.

I wonder does this mean we are insisting on Garcia stays till the end of the season
Nothing to do with insisting on him staying I don’t think, more to do with Barca not paying what we value him at.
As for THB, Blackburn would be a decent move. He would probably play most games, rovers having a decent season and chance of play offs, manager who seems to give youth a chance, so would be a good option.

It seemed inevitable really. We’ve got more potential first team capable, young players coming through than previously under Guardiola so we were going to need to change our approach. They can’t all be in the first team squad and continue to develop properly... because the EDS isn’t much of a challenge.

As you say, getting the right loan is crucial, especially for the players we think have a chance to make the first team in a year or two.

For our other standout young players, similar decisions needed for Doyle, Palmer and Delap in the near future because they’ve all outgrown the EDS. McAtee I’d wait another 6-12 months for as he needs to bulk up a bit yet.

Nmecha is also crying out for a loan,in fact he should be top of the list IMO.

I'd love Braaf to see sense and do the same, but i suspect that ship has long since sailed.
