I'd consider your use of the word 'lazy' - it seems like it's an unconscious racist term when attributed to black players. Pogba, Lukaku, Sterling, Yaya, they all get this.

Currently the press must be trawling through twittoh & Instoh looking for posts from footballers that can incriminate themselves.

Now in years gone by Footballers would shimmy down drain pipes to sneak out to the pub or nightclub hoping not to get caught. Nowadays these guys are breaking a rule in their own home & sharing on social media. It kind of tells me that they somehow they don’t know they are breaking the rules, how I don’t know & as someone living outside of UK I’m not sure but I can’t keep up with the rules.

It’s an absolute shit show & it’s not footballers I blame.

I think in general I am a lazy person but I am not black.

Some others in my family don't regard me as lazy and some others I know do regard me as lazy.

I think Wilfred Zaha is easily riled on the pitch and is often done so by both black and white players.

I also think there are lazy players in the premiership who are white.

You don't need to confuse your opinion of a person's traits on the football field and make it an issue of colour.

It is perhaps best to describe the performance of the player as lazy and refer to him by name.

In any case the lack of expending energy at all times to ones maximum is never one I considered confined to individuals of a particular skin colour or ethnicity to the exclusion of all others.

Actually for all his faults on the field I have never thought Mendy was a lazy player. But his decision-making and spatial awareness as a defender is terrible. One of the worst I have ever seen at City and there is plenty of competition for poor fullbacks over the years. He used to be good going forward but his injuries have taken his pace away. We should be getting rid of him for his on-field performances never mind his pathetic off-field antics.
