Pep made a point of referring to families and people dying all over the world in his press conference. Most of the players will have vulnerable relatives. They are staying mostly in isolation in Manchester while most of their family members are overseas. I wonder what KDB thinks for example. I believe Mendy is finished at City. Pep has no choice but to cut him loose.
I'm sure City would have got shut of Mendy a while back even before the latest incident if they could however he's on a huge salary that potential suitors can't or won't pay for a player who has been so badly affected by injuries.
As a player the injuries could happen to anyone but on a personal level there is simply no excuse for what he has done if it is true.

I actually think on this occasion he is backing up what Pep said which was essentially: " We were happy to play but safety must come first."
He's tried to say that on twitter in a follow up tweet which includes calling us 'dicks'...if that's the case for a professional his delivery is shite.

Pep admitted that City could have played against Everton. It was the Premier League that made the decision to postpone the match. So Sam Lee isn’t really saying anything that Pep didn’t say.
Is there any point in him saying it then? Other than to get some attention and bring something up that other clubs fans think is a conspiracy. His choice of words adding fuel to such speculation

agree if i was a fellow pro and one of my team mates was putting my family and myself at risk i wouldnt be happy, at the very least he would be told what a knobhead he is and to keep away from me, as the saying goes i would 'send him to Coventry'. I wouldnt want to train near him.
But, but he’s a character. He is something , he‘s a knobhead.

City can sack him for gross misconduct and terminate his contract if they want, especially if he had been warned in advance about the rules. This is not a performance issue.

The club has said that they will conduct an internal investigation.
If it transpires that it is gross misconduct they could sack him.
It would send out a positive message if any club sacked a player for gross misconduct over something like this.
Sadly, there will always be another club that would be willing to employ them as players are assets with a monetary value as well as employees.
