Yes, flu like symptoms over a few days. Not anything to get too worried about. Just strange that it happened to those who knew they had previously had COVID. May be a total coincidence.
I might add, on the Novavax vaccine trial, there was only a small difference in numbers between those experiencing flu like side effects who had had the actual vaccine and those on the placebo. Sometimes it’s in your head.

Well the 8 o clock clap went well on our street, just me and the lady across the road, last time round everyone was out with pots and pans. Bit like the lockdown I suppose, no one gives a shite anymore

Just come in brrrrr only me & Mrs Moon clapping in earshot on a terrace street, suppose it's cold and too much bother last time there were 20-30 people in sight.

Because its bollocks. A load of hypocrites clapping the hard working services then going out and doing what the fuck they want with no regard for anyone. I'm sure the heroes would prefer a decent pay rise instead whilst billions has been wasted due to incompetence

My mates wife and sister both had jabs at weekend both front line nhs in Halifax , his dad had it 81 Bradford , my partnet grandparents getting it this weekend n there 90’s was meant to have it few week ago

work mate went to care home to work in and got tested which seems to be happening more now

Who the hero’s ? Is it the supermarket staff , care workers , nhs staff, delivery drivers , maintenance workers , engineering companies?

Not seen it really mentioned on the news but Germany suffering again, recorded 1,000 deaths for the 3rd day in a row. To say they seemed to handle it better than most originally it shows how easily you can lose control, especially in the winter.

Yep, pretty sure the NHS would rather have better pay and resources

Had a walk near the airport today.
Everything was quiet (understandably).
Just felt so empty and sad.
I'm not sure the world will ever recover from this.
It's a tragedy that seems will never ever end.

Course it will. Once this is over it will be the best times of our lives. The country will boom massively and everyone will appreciate those things that we took for granted. This summer will be the best summer for years providing everything goes smoothly with the vaccine. Can’t wait.

This is how Gov UK is posting the weekly updates of UK vaccinations.

You can also view it as bar graphs and broken down to individual nations

WEEK ENDING // Weekly Total 1st Dose // Cumulative Total 1st dose // Cumulative total 2nd dose

03-01-2021 // 333,224 // 1,296,432 // 21,313 // 21, 313

27-12-2020 // 312,494 // 963,208 // 0 // 0

20-12-2020 // 620,180 // 650,714 // 0 // 0

An excellent start. Let's hope it can be ramped up.

Don’t they count those who have sadly died a little more strictly than us too?

Ie doesn’t the person need to have had a positive test and in a shorter time frame than here?

Could be that the figure of 1000 in Germany would actually be worse here.

They haven't lost control anything like to extent we have. Their case numbers are a fraction of ours and falling. They still have 1/3 the number of total deaths we have. They acted way ahead of us. As usual.

Following is per capita numbers.

So is it better to have a stockpile or vaccines at the center ie more than you can vaccinate in a day or more people waiting and not enough vaccines as you implied.
No it isn't quite the opposite, I said keep pace with manipufacture and availability not stockpile. At the moment there is nopoint getting ahead of whats available. The time to ramp up is as more becomes available in the coming weeks. Which we will.

There appears to be a large under-reporting of cases there too. They're saying it will be the 17th before they are accurate again (can't understand why).

BURY 111 - down from 141. Total 12, 444. Weekly 716. Best in GM right now. Pop score up 59 to 6516. Weekly Pop down 12 to 375.

Notice that the three boroughs with the highest Weekly Pop right now - Wigan 454 - Trafford 427 and Stockport 391 are the three BEST coming out of Summer who were all so low in case numbers they were exempted from the lockdown restrictions GM was out into.

They all went gaga from that point onward. And whilst they all recovered for a bit they are back up where they never were at any point in the pandemic up to early Autumn.

Why this has happened is a big question and I am pretty sure it had something to do with the opt outs that both Wigan and Stockport took that bled cases into them from the other locked down boroughs. Trafford though is more odd as it declined the offer to be taken out of the early restrictions and after that became the best in GM. Which I presumed was caused by them staying in top measures. But recently it has gone gaga regardless round Christmas. Can only guess it is shopping centre spreading pre Christmas with cases bleeding in from lower restricted Cheshire. Which may have impacted Stockport too.

Either way best three are now worst three.
