What a genuinely bizarre situation where the President of the USA attempts to give a statesman like address to a national crisis and there cannot be a single person watching it who believes he is being genuine or honest, in even broad terms. Or statesman like.

Most will correctly see that this is totally at odds with his real, base thoughts that the fool cannot usually hide and totally contradictory and hypocritical.

Then there will be the others, his foolish supporters, who think, again, somewhat correctly, he's just saying this because he has to play the game a bit.

Ironically, possibly the only person on earth lacking the awareness to believe that this is at all impressive or statesman like is the orange scumbag himself. He likely sits down afterwards and genuinely believes that people will have seem someone delivering gravitas, such are the levels of his self obsession.

He'll know it's gone too far but he won't care because he's a classic narcissist. All that remains is for him to waste time spouting nonsense until Bidens inauguration where he'll bugger off to play golf.

He's done this for his entire presidency, he's spent much of the pandemic on a golf course. He then returns to tell everyone how good he's handling everything and schmucks believe it as gospel.

5 people dead due to this and 370,000 dead due to a pandemic he still refuses to control. This week he claimed he has overseen the greatest economy in the world, the level of which is actually now lower than when he took office. The man honestly has zero shame. I don't know if Biden will be any better but anyone but Trump was enough.
