Apologies if already covered, but are the numbers to be given for vaccinations next week going to be individual people having been given a shot, or shots given?
Both I believe.Apologies if already covered, but are the numbers to be given for vaccinations next week going to be individual people having been given a shot, or shots given?
Tbf to my local supermarkets, tesco in particular reverted back to the first lockdown measures as soon as we went into tier four, as did boots , you have to line up for both and one in one out. I agree garden centres shouldnt be open , i dont get that oneHe just won't. Fuck off all these shite takeaways being open. Garden centres ffs! Churches! Enforce supermarkets to have strict rules again.
Thanks RBBoth I believe.
They could and should set you up with mobile Broadband , it’s not difficult ffs.My employer sent about 40 vulnerable staff home at beginning of first lockdown. They have worked from home ever since. Now the rest of us are going on a rota to work partly from home and partly from the office. Apart from me who doesn't have Internet access at home. Not that bothered as there will be hardly anyone in at any given time, so it will be safer.
This is in response to expectations the North is going to cop it big time very soon.
The data I posted last night of the UK week to week updated numbers does give both. Both I believe.

Where the fuck are all these people on the roads going???
There’s a lot more compliance with the rules in Yorkshire, by the sound of things on here. Plus, the Beadt from thebEast has arrived and there is no need to go out for a few days.REGIONAL SCOREBOARD
Also up pretty much everywhere - South East over 10,000 too and East new record
Sadly North West also sets its fourth new record in the last week - though 'only' up 510 to 7671
1489 was the NW number on 9 Dec when the entire UK had fewer cases than London alone today.
The ONE area to go down - yet again - is Yorkshire - by some margin the only one escaping the new strain.
Why is nobody asking how and finding out how to emulate it?
They have in all data I have seen been far below the % of the new strain compared with every region.
We need to know How?
If I was living in Yorkshire I would be building a wall right now.
Neither is my local Tesco. Also, the amount of people I've seen in there without masks is quite frankly shocking - really need to crack down on these cunts.None of the smaller ones in town are doing it anymore. They were initially. Big Tesco in Stretford wasn't last week either.
yes its to late,we have to ride the storm now,but that video- we lost more lives in the last 24hrs than Australia has in the whole pandemic makes you thinkEven if we stopped things now (all sport immediately?), I rather fear the damage has already been done and we'll now endure 3-4 more weeks of horrific figures.
The more exceptions were made, the more unexceptional this lockdown became.
Thanks. I asked as am sceptical they might use the sum of first and second doses to help meet their target of 13.9m by mid FebMOSSSIDEBLUE - Here it is
This is how Gov UK is posting the weekly updates of UK vaccinations.
You can also view it as bar graphs and broken down to individual nations

Yes. There was some harrowing story of someone dying very young (from COVID) on the radio this morning (actually I missed all but the last 2 seconds of it) and then they cut to some doctor expert. The doctor was clearly upset and said something about how terrible it is and it's difficult to comment after that. The host then said (in terms), yes but we want you to tell everyone how unusual this is and not to worry!!! I could not believe my ears. The BBC were actively trying to downplay the whole thing, when in the public's best interests, they should be doing the opposite.Indeed. Instead, a nurse, close to tears, describing her harrowing shift, before cutting back to the newsreader who pauses a little longer than normal before segueing to a story that starts with politicians striding purposefully.
Country has been sheltered and not for its own good, alas.
Hmmmm. Not sure about that. Schools are still 30-50% open. And the R number is STILL increasingSorry, I'm a bit tetchy. Been in isolation for a week now, and the whole COVID thing is maddening as there are thousands dying now that could have been avoided with the exact same actions eventually taken, just earlier.
