He just won't. Fuck off all these shite takeaways being open. Garden centres ffs! Churches! Enforce supermarkets to have strict rules again.
my mrs works in ASDA, hardly any rules, same people coming in every day with their kids, spending ages in the store and end up walking out with hardly any shopping, whats up with these people why dont they get it whats hard not to understand

Awful numbers. How can people still see numbers like that and still act like selfish arseholes? Far too many people not adhering to the rules, even the simple ones about masks and washing hands
As our area (sedgemoor, Somerset) went from Tier 2 to Tier 4 and now National lockdown, the roads have steadily got busier.

REGIONAL SCOREBOARD SUMMARY

Some horrific numbers. London up to new record that is higher on its own today than everywhere in the UK was added together as recently as the 9th of December!!!!

On that day London was already double its previous high at 4144. Today it is 17, 119.

thank fuck for that ive been worried about going back to square 1 with the reports the s a variant may be vaccine resistant
Wouldn’t ever be square one thankfully.

A modification for a mutation takes 4-6 weeks to do.

Of course it would be significant in terms of deaths and set us back greatly but it wouldn’t be square one at least.

It’s a fucking shambles and only going to get worse as this obliterates us here in GM.
dont know your situation mate but just sit it out indoors if you can, im on the bed with a broken leg so not venturing out for at least another 4 weeks, concerned for the mrs with her workplace but nothing we can do as we have a mortgage to pay

Where the fuck are all these people on the roads going???
Curious myself. I live near enough to a main road and remember April vividly when the roads were deserted at 9am and later on you would have odd groups out for picnics but that was it. Now it’s just long traffic queues.

It just doesn’t feel the same at all.

REGIONAL SCOREBOARD

Also up pretty much everywhere - South East over 10,000 too and East new record

Sadly North West also sets its fourth new record in the last week - though 'only' up 510 to 7671

1489 was the NW number on 9 Dec when the entire UK had fewer cases than London alone today.

The ONE area to go down - yet again - is Yorkshire - by some margin the only one escaping the new strain.

Why is nobody asking how and finding out how to emulate it?

They have in all data I have seen been far below the % of the new strain compared with every region.

We need to know How?

If I was living in Yorkshire I would be building a wall right now.

Yeah, that’s what we are doing. Fortunately I’m my own boss so can work from home, and then we are just hugely limiting any outdoor interactions - minimal shopping trips etc. Next few weeks is not going to be fun.

My employer sent about 40 vulnerable staff home at beginning of first lockdown. They have worked from home ever since. Now the rest of us are going on a rota to work partly from home and partly from the office. Apart from me who doesn't have Internet access at home. Not that bothered as there will be hardly anyone in at any given time, so it will be safer.
This is in response to expectations the North is going to cop it big time very soon.
