Closing schools hours after sending them back has to be in the top 5 worst/strangest decisions of this pandemic.

Cant see there being much change from tier 4 beyond schools. I expect deaths to peak in February. London to be released from lockdown sometime in March (their curve peaked earlier) and the north by sometime in April. Such release potentially to be garden related, one household in hospitality only.

proper release from lockdown, household mixing, football, concerts, meeting in hospitality etc... depends on fast rollout of the vaccine but can’t see it until summer.

Those hospital numbers I just posted for all the regions in England today show what has cvhanged his mind.

He has delayed so long the new variant has taken root everywhere as with no national restrictions it was bound to do.

He will never survive the catastrophe that many of us saw coming over Christmas A strong leader would have led - not been led by the nose trying to be popular.

Hopefully we get over this but nothing now will stop those hospital numbers in the regions climbing up further and it is hard to see some regions not becoming swamped before a corner is turmed

Not political at all but anyone who allowed this to happen when so many saw what was wrong with the 'merry little Christmas catchphrase is not going to come out the other side of this intact.

But for now we just have to forget blame or recriminations. We are in this hole. Who put us there is for now not what matters.

We all have to come together and dig for victory once again to climb out of the hole.

Wrong thread here but yougov who have been wide of the mark with election surveys.
It tends to be leftie sit at homers who fill out those surveys
