Selling Gold

Any jewellery experts on here?
We have a 170 year old wedding band 22 carat in really good condition.
Can anybody tell me because it's an antique is it worth more than just as weight in gold?
Not an expert but I can say its scrap value will be the same. Any additional value over this will be in the maker, craftsmanship or any provenance

Has anyone used cash4gold?

I found a gold chain that I used to have about 15 years ago that I'd totally forgotten about.

Weighed it on my food scales and it's 15 grams so at current pricing, it's worth about £400 scrap value. Which is strange because it didn't cost anywhere near that when I bought it new.

Requested an envelope from cash4gold so going to send it to them.
Should hopefully get a few quid that I wasn't planning on.

If you take any gold you want to sell to any places that buy it they will all give you a price - it does differ from place to place.
You can then sell it to the highest bidder.
