Your favourite Manchester brewery

What I’d give to be sat in the Marble Arch supping a pint of Chocolate Marble now :-/
I bought their Retro beers in the Autumn.
Ginger , Tawny , Chocolate stout , Dobber .. All stunning beers , wish I would of bought a boatload all sold out now

Back in the late 70's when I first started going into pubs on a regular basis there was as the OP stated a decent range of local breweries whose pubs you could go drinking in. Our local was a Boddies house and the mild in there was well kept so it became the drink of choice. Others such as Wilsons and Chester were decent as well with only Holts being selected as a last resort.
Having said all that the best pint I ever had was a pint of bitter in the long gone Red Cow on Albion Street in Salford.
