Next League Games

Think United play Fulham same night as we play Villa. Might be difficult to go top.

Well the only condition is for Man United to draw or lose to Liverpool. In that case if we win the next 3 games in a row then we are top of the league

Our next 5 games are:

Brighton and Hove Albion - Tonite - Home
Crystal Palace - 17th of Jan- Home
Aston Villa - 20th of Jan - Home
West Brom - 26th of Jan - Away
Sheffield United - 30th of Jan - Home

All winnable games in my opinion if we are on top of our form. This means we can end January top of the league.

Even our first game in February is away to Burnley so we could have a good run of 6 wins in a row and then we will remain top going into the Liverpool Game!

Let's do it CITY!!! Come on CITY
Depends what rags do at Fulham next midweek.

Quite happy if we only go top by winning a game in hand the midweek prior to the last game, the only time it becomes meaningful in a tight race - win on the final day and you’re champions. Expect the games in Feb will be scheduled for TV so that the lead changes between the the 2 reds during each game week as they did with us and the scousers in 18/19.

If we manage to win all of the games before Liverpool I think we will win the league. Villa could be off though and if on could give us problems. Also we are assuming rags and scousers will win all theirs. They can’t though as they play each other.

gonna have to be real careful over the next 6 games. on paper all games we should stroll but these will be huge tests.

Too often have we seen a plucky lower league team come to the etihad, sit back, ride their luck and take their only chance. Dont want repeats of west brom!

We need to be clinical!

Well Brighton is painfully out of the way, next is Crystal Palace

I hope the players are slowly getting back to fitness cause we have alot of tired players and others who are still recovering from COVID

Let's see if Aguero starts for this one!

I was worried tonight we could have come stuck with the silly misses and wasted chances. Seems like awarding us corners and even penalties are a handicap and waste of time.

Palace (H)
Villa (H)
West Brom (A)
Sheff Utd (H)
Burnley (A)

Win the next 5 and we'll probably be top going into the Liverpool game.

On paper, we should be winning all of them. It would pretty significant for our title challenge if we got 12 points in the next four games. It would allow us some breathing space going into our hellish fixtures in February. It’s going to be a mad second half of the season seeing as we’re going to go deep in every competition.

Hopefully the rotation Pep has persisted with, along with the enforced breaks some players have had will have kept them fresh.

Gets harder quickly though, just need to try and milk these and really go for the big 3 or 4 games after (depends on Everton away).

I can't see us winning most of the big games without more decent striking options, two weeks left to dip in the market.

City were 2/1 to win the PL about 2 weeks ago, now mostly 4/7, so more or less what the bookies call a 'penalty kick' in horse racing. Oh dear.
