Cheltenham Town (A) - Virtual Tickets

Fascinating stuff, Tony Book's nephew a goalkeeping coach, it sounds like it's
a nice little club we're playing.
But why at the end of the article does he have to say "We won’t be able to have our hair cut for the big game, but I am sure Man City will manage to.” !!

Made a donation a couple of days back and was wondering why the media haven't given Cheltenham the same amount of publicity that they gave Marine. They were in the fortunate position of getting generous donations from supporters of Merseyside clubs as well as those from Spurs fans. Hopefully wider media coverage of the crowd funding would have encouraged fans of other pl teams to give the fund a boost.

The media, on the whole, never show any interest in Cheltenham Football. It seems they think the town is like Brigadoon and only appear to the media in March! Even the local Rag waited until today, for the first time, to move the FA cup fixture on to the front page of their online effort, It is currently story #8. The lead story being a greyhound biting a runner!!!! Says it all #daretodream

Unless you win - in which case you'll be front page everywhere, don't you worry. Although references to Cheltenham itself will be difficult to find amongst the full page pictures of Pep with his head in his hands and headlines similar to 'bald fraud found out', 'City's millionaires humbled' and the like.

We can but dream. I would put a good bet on, if that million to one chance did happen. The headlines would work the horses in somewhere

What is a virtual ticket exactly
Think if you do it on the official CTFC site or on the crowdfunder. On the CTFC site you get :
For £10 we'll send you on the day of the game:

  • a digital programme
  • official teamsheet
  • and souvenir ticket
On the crowdfunding site, I think you just have to imagine it :) And bask in the feeling of helping out

Er.... because Premier League players have virtually all mysteriously had perfectly coiffured hair throughout the pandemic?
