Jesus is doing exactly what Pep wants otherwise he wouldn't be in the team. I get frustrated as anyone when hes stood out on the wing or outside the box when I want him stood on the 6yrd line but Pep wants what he wants and Jesus gives him it.

Consistently comparing him to Aguero is nonsense, starting to sound like the arse, chavs and all the other fuckers who hold up their legendary strikers numbers to bash the current players, lets not do that.

He did nothing again but be offside

Did nothing but had a goal saved by a defender and made a smart layoff for Gundo who missed a sitter. He should have come away with a goal and an assist.

We didn't buy him as a striker.

He only plays central for Brazil as Neymar drifts from the left. Ironically he plays a pressing role and vacates the space for Neymar.

He’s the only striker available and he didn’t even start today. 2 goals in 10 league games. His best quality is his work rate and getting stuck in, which what you hear so often about mid table strikers.
 
Get someone on loan quickly Txiki. and a big name striker in the summer.

Pep even said he is not sure when Kun will be back, that means he is not missing due to self isolation due to some contact with a positive person but another injury setback which would be like 10th in a row since November.

Jesus is not the striker who will lead the line and score goals like Lewandowski, Ibra, Kane etc. If you would put Jesus in those teams where these strikers play and would offer his current goal rate they would take him behind the barn and shoot him.

We would improve immensely imo if we had a striker banging in goals, giving confidence to the rest of the team to attack more knowing they have somebody who will deliver every game.
 
No idea how anybody can criticise him today, he came on and we immediately looked twice the threat we did beforehand, he migjt not have been involved directly in a goal (I know he won the penalty) but his presence created room for others, the pull back to the oncoming midfielders was available the instance he came on. Don't look at stats, watch the game, it's really no coincidence how the openings became more clear once he was introduced.

Why do we need to improve? Aren't we top of the table with a game in hand, in a cup final, and having sauntered through our CL group?

No harm in bolstering the ranks, but I'm not sure how much "better" we need to be.
 
He is coming back from Covid and had a positive influence on the game. At his best he would be good enough for us - we just need him to start realizing his potential.

Lets give him some more time - he will start scoring soon.
 
I felt that with the penalty he was actually trying to head the ball across to Foden. Would have preferred him to have gone for goal but it worked out in the end.

he is isolating till tomorrow then he comes back to training
