Foden's got such huge potential because of his youth and where he's playing his football. If he could develop the confidence and knowhow to sit himself in those tight pockets Silva did then we're on to a superstar. He's got the technical part down, so hopefully with coaching he can learn to move like a genius too. There are promising signs; when he's on the left he drifts infield just like Silva used to under Mancini.
He is offside in the first one if raz squares it , i think . Kev is endlessly annoyed with him as he is offside so much , perhaps they all assume he will be
The second was a poor finish from Kev. It was harder to hit the bar than the target.
Why did it get to kev is the question , when the striker has it in a position to score , lack of confidence maybe , pep has said several times he or his mum cant do it for him
That photo still doesn’t show the full picture though. The defender was across and in front of him milliseconds later blocking off his shot option. Laying it back to Kev who was only about 8 yards out with a clear sight of goal was the right choice.
What do you think sergio would do in that position ?
Shoot and either hit the defender, hit it wide or maybe just maybe find one of those 1 in a 100 shots that somehow defy belief and goes in.
