I thought the same - the fact that the camera was clearly showing Bernardo celebrating made the insistence that it was Gundogan a bit odd.

Followed the City game on the BBC feed tonight - I’m forever grateful I fucked BT off. I thought straight away that Rodri was onside the moment Mings played the ball but then the commentator, McManaman and Walton were all insistent he was offside so began to doubt myself. So I googled the law and I was right. Why can’t these people check things out before spouting their nonsense. Walton, a former referee who should know the law anyway had enough time to check it before bleating it should have been ruled out.

Watched the BT coverage tonight.
Think it obviously showed bias, but more worringly, the failure to know the rules of the game from McPointy, The Red Plug and Peter fecking Walton.
Walton did backtrack a bit when he was forced to read out the actual law, hut seemed very unhappy about it.
A shame they weren't allowed to fester for longer, but the Trafford Tinkers match took priority which seemed odd as BT usually have 2 seperate footy channels...

Even Savage said you can't claim the decision was terrible.
You can state that you think the law is flawed if that's what you believe, but the decision was spot on.

I meant the slight deflection ones that are well off target. Feels diaproportionate to me and a free kick more proportionate. Obvs if you pick the ball up a bit different. Same with players knocked running away from goal in the box. Penalty too harsh a punishment for me. But maybe easier to build a law around

I think it probably comforts him that he fits in with most of his colleagues who have a variable grasp of the rules.
