Wales Weekly Pop down to 271 from 281
I wouldn’t mind but there’s a greater than 50% chance they’ll be divorced in a few years anyway.Utter cunts, every single person who attended
Disgusting behaviour, the only ones who should escape a fine are any children dragged along by their families.I do not understand this story about the 400 strong wedding party.
They all ran away and so they fine the organiser. Okay
But the guests all chose to break the rules. The organisers know who they all were as they invited them.
They should put the organisers in a police holding cell and let them stay there until they release the names of those present so they all can be fined - not just the handful not quick enough to run away as hundreds did when police arrived.
We need to send a message that this is not something that will be tolerated. You break the rules. You pay.
Thanks. I didn't check earlier posts. Got a txt yesterday and spent all evening trying to book an appointment. Kept getting no appts avail, try again. And it kept doing that even at 0600.I tried to explain the background behind this earlier.
Short version: too early to tell, but nothing to worry about so far.

Coronavirus (2021) thread
Just back from my jab in Royton, smooth operation, 10 mins in a queue. Given the AZ one, told they'll be in touch in around 12 weeks and sent out of the building straight away. Everyone having it look around my age 57. Got a very slight headache over my right eye but otherwise fine so far.forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk
Community service.what happens when they cant pay ? prison or £1 a week ?
Thanks. Blue Mooners have been very helpful and tell me more than l glean from the media. They are doing first and second jabs at once now and have been since early January. Both numbers are posted in here every day.
They are also constantly increasing the number of places where they are available, getting more and more vaccines on stream and by the time this becomes a real issue in April, will have the capacity to do as many first jabs as now plus the same number of second jabs.
The primary aim is to give everyone vulnerable and over the age of 70 both jabs by April which is achievable.
You do that and eliminate 90% of the risk of serious illness and death.
That is the trade off here and obviously the right one even if it means some of the younger age groups only get a first dose by mid Summer. Though it is quite possible they could do both for all who want one by end of June given all going well. Even one dose to the younger is likely enough to prevent most being very ill from this.
I criticise the government a lit if warranted but so far they are getting the vaccine roll out right when plenty of other nations are not.
So far are the key words though.
Thanks. Blue mooners have been very helpful.Figure been taken out of context, read this article https://www.thejc.com/news/israel/i...ectiveness-only-covers-first-14-days-1.510887
Maybe they should have waited and had the divorce party when we're clear of covid thenI wouldn’t mind but there’s a greater than 50% chance they’ll be divorced in a few years anyway.
Finally a little explanation on what the 33% efficacy of first jab in the Israeli study meant.
1. Data only available to 18 days post first dose.
2. Shows no change to day 12 compared to unvaccinated then 33% less cases per capita each day from day 14 - day 18 if vaccinated.
My take:
1. Good news - the vaccine is indeed reducing cases in the real world post first dose.
2. Bad news... these results are, as reported, not as good as those from the trial.
BUT
3. Not comparable to the trial (1): this includes asymptomatic and we don't know at what proportion, whereas trial was symptomatic only.
4. Far too short a time period to draw conclusions.
5. Not comparable to the trial (2): we have no idea to what extent vaccinated people take more risks, so may just reflect that once people are vaccinated they merrily go around licking other people for the sheer joy of it(!)
6. We don't know how serious these cases were, and reducing severity of infection is the main point of vaccination.
Overall: interesting, but not directly relevant either way to the UK one dose strategy, or long term efficacy.
All just my own views, not remotely definitive, treat with due scepticism.
Thank you for remembering that brava reference - but be as blunt as you like. Been around the block enough for it not to phase me out.Thanks. Blue Mooners have been very helpful and tell me more than l glean from the media.
You are very well informed as if you are still involved but a previous post made me think you were no longer working. I remember the use of the word' brava' so l am trying to be gentlemanly;)
Something else I've been thinking about, if the vaccine needs tweaking with variants in the virus like the flu one, we'll be on it 365 days a year with boosters etc. to get through the volume of people needing it.
