He just comes across as a lovely guy who is great fun to be around & doesn’t seem to take himself too seriously. I’d guess he’s a personality that even City haters would find difficult to dislike.I for one am really glad he’s there.
He’s great and finally we have a pro City pundit who is centre stage.
Also loved the guy as a player.
I love him and he’s a laugh and likeable and it’s so nice to have an ex-City player in the front line media/He just comes across as a lovely guy who is great fun to be around & doesn’t seem to take himself too seriously. & his laugh.......sooooooo infectious. I love the guy & have done ever since his comical first ever TV interview:)

His analysis is not good though. Not that that will necessarily stop him. You can’t get worse than shearer and he keeps getting renewed, and he hasn’t even got charisma.
I don’t think his analysis is any worse than the rest of them. Agreed he’s no Andy Gray, but who is?I love him and he’s a laugh and likeable and it’s so nice to have an ex-City player in the front line media/

Harsh & what the fuck has that got to do with being a presenter? How many presenters have an IQ high enough for Mensa?Thick as pig-shit.
Are you serious? What has having a brain got to do with talking about something?Harsh & what the fuck has that got to do with being a presenter? How many presenters have an IQ high enough for Mensa?
Do you need a high IQ to be a presenter? I’d say no, as long as you’re a good communicator
Deadly serious mate. He communicates well, which I’d suggest is 50% of his job. The other 50% is articulating his analysis, which he’s not too bad at. He’s no Andy Gray or Gary Neville with his analysis, but he’s far more engaging & entertaining than Neville, Keane, Linekar, Carragher, Shearer & most of the others. Are you serious? Fair enough, mate. When I watch football on the TV (I rarely watch in English, usually German or Spanish) I hope to hear intelligent commentary, something insightful from the people commentating or analyzing the game, something about what's happening on the pitch I can't figure out for myself. What I don't need is someone stating the bleeding obvious, missing the intricacies of what Pep is doing or spouting partisan bullshit.Deadly serious mate. Why does he need to have a Mensa IQ for that?
Not sure what your problem is with him?
Fair enough right back at ya fella. Totally understand where you’re coming from, but I’d say Andy Gray is the only person that’s ever done that for me, the rest have always been there for entertainment, which along with being a sport, is exactly what football is.Fair enough, mate. Very true. Nothing personal against Micah but the laughing does my head in and he doesn’t offer anything like what you say. Though none of them do.Fair enough, mate. I've been watching football for 50 years so my understanding of what's going on during a game has developed and improved over that time (especially in the last 10 years). Over that time there have been lots of thinkers on the game who have chimed in on British TV (from Mercer and Allison to Clough and Gullit).Fair enough right back at ya fella. Which presenters have ever given an analysis that you’ve not been able to figure out for yourself?
Jammy bastard. I speak English poorly & understand only English & Scottish language, so I don’t have the privilege of understanding what foreign commentators or analysts say. Would love to speak Dutch &/or Spanish to understand Cruyff’s philosophy better.I've been watching football for 50 years so my understanding of what's going on during a game has developed and improved over that time (especially in the last 10 years). Over that time there have been lots of thinkers on the game who have chimed in on British TV (from Mercer and Allison to Clough and Gullit).
But the people that talk most interestingly about football (about tactics and not events) are foreign. I've learnt most from seeking out Cruyff in the bookshop and Guardiola in the press-conference (overseas, not here as British journalists don't know the difference between a tic-tac and a tactic).
So in answer to your question I don't learn anything from watching football on British TV which is why I tune-in to foreign TV to get some interesting and insightful stuff off there. I only occasionally tune-in to the shite that is churned out here and always regret it.

Oh, and I fucking despise partisan commentary and analysis whoever it favours.
