Well I am shocked, why have they not provided new guidance on the handball law, surely if a header was not on target then it can't be given as handball and a penalty as Macmanamen pointed out.
I mean I knew this fucker was thick just by the way he looks and talks but oh my god this is gold.
He didn't benefit from being in an offside position, he had been in an onside position.Personally dont have a problem with this. A bit farcical the fall out has been, but who cares really.
The law may well have meant he wasnt technically offside by the letter but anyone who believes he didnt benefit by being in an “offside position” is too blue tinted.
If that goes against us, I dont care what the “law” is, I’d feel hard done by. So if they’ve changed the interpretation to make that offside then good.
We were the better team and we won the game and deserved the win.
Shame we never taught Kolarov how to aim at an official’s head, or cock.City need to get three up, then keep kicking it against the ref,who is always in the way, then see what they do
Oh yes that's true(but for different issues), I thought you were saying something else. Well it's still open to interpretation with the change was my gripe. I suppose even my suggestion could be under some circumstances but I think it's easy to see whether a successful pass/control of the ball has occurred.I never said it was part of the rules? I said the rules have always been open to interpretation. It’s why IFAB would agree to the additional clarification.
What pointS were villa denied? They were hanging on for a drawView attachment 9008
denied points haha. Do people forget that we won 2-0??
Yeah it seems like a ridiculous rule. The winger crosses the ball to a player who is marginally offside, the defender slides in the block the cross, and if he misses the ball completely, the striker is called offside, but if he glances it and it falls to the offside player, then he's suddenly onside again, even though the only reason the defender was sliding in was because of his presence.yep came from an off side position and scored !
but didnt tackle the defender i think that makes it ok, but the attacker put pressure on the defender to mis kick which is fine !
Bluemoon in a nutshell recently. Great rant. It’s pathetic. I understand that we’re going to get the media reaction and the blow back from the sour bastard fan base of others who are clueless bitters. Cos it’s fashionable for them to do so and totally predictable.
There’s been plenty of goals scored like that over the years. Rodri didn’t even tackle. Mings controlled and then moved the ball and the game is back on, Rodri at this point now has mings and another defender playing him on. End of story.
And we still had to go and create a chance and convert it after that. the first of 2 goals we scored that night.
As many have said already, what if defender passes back to the keeper; Rodri in this instance is now onside from an offside position to intercept.
but the new rule means he can’t get back onside to intercept mings playing it in any other direction but to the goal keeper. Bollax.
it’s been the same rule for as long as I can remember. I’ve been watching the game for 31 years now. It’s going to shite. Media money and rag sycophants have the beautiful game ruined.
But another rule change off the back of our another one of our games. The bias has become so heavily stacked against us on every level of the game.
And it’s so fucking transparent, but we’re the bastards. It’s deluded.
I have a few close mates that I talk football with. The rest I couldn’t be arsed cos I don’t need to take on the constant abuse and negativity and cunts looking for punch ups cos me being a city fan offends their deluded rag bastard moral code. It’s now fans of other teams too. It’s a sad day that media bias is having such a negative on people relationships
Mings is a professional footballer getting paid a fuck tonne of money. And international footballer. And he uses his ignorance as a plea to hide behind the media noise:
he should be called out and sacked. Fined, dropped to the reserves. Made a point of, something. and I bet footballers will know the rules after that.
Imagine a gas installer coming out who didn’t know the gas safety regulations coming out to install your new boiler, making a bad job of it and needing you the customer to remind him of the safety regs. Ya wouldn’t be confident or want him back.
Also does no footballer understand ya can’t be offside from a throw in. Nobody ever runs into that space. Sorry I’m getting side tracked there.
learn the rules you lazy cunts. Even if you don’t read up on them you’re a pro footballer, ya must’ve seen a thousand games to inform you. Ya must’ve trained a thousand sessions to inform you. Your coaches the same, Paul Merson McPointy and Ragface Tyler the same: all paid a lot, claiming ignorance and making a lot of shit up. Often their commentating is of a completely different game to the one City are actually playing in front of them. I’m watching and listening and they get it wrong so often. And not by mistake. The narrative they are keeping strong. And people instead of watching the game and making their own minds, will happily sit back and join in the delusional narrative, cos it soothes their beaten psyche. I know it hurts them that city have dominated the last decade. But they can’t be so deluded all the time.
When in doubt, revert to their boys club mentality, feign ignorance or whatever will get them off the hook, and in a position keep on getting Big Bad City and then they’ll all sit back down like the dogs they are proudly licking their communal flea infested ball bag.
Fuck, remember we were little city, then noisy neighbours. It shows how far we’ve come in the last 12 years.
I mean I knew this fucker was thick just by the way he looks and talks but oh my god this is gold.
I don't think any of us will be surprised if we get shafted by VAR tonight.I have it on good authority that we will score the winning goal tonight in the 86th from a cross to the far post. Unfortunately as we speak the PL and PiGMOB are debating whether to ban crosses, headers or both. A decision will be made in the 85th minute of the game.
ThisYeah it seems like a ridiculous rule. But isn't this whereabouts the folk who run football tend to operate - between a cock up and a complete bollocation of dereliction with absolute shambles in the middle.View attachment 9008

No chance, goal will be given.Imagine this:
Sunday 7th February, Anfield Stadium, Liverpool; Liverpool 0 - Manchester City 1, 89:59 on the clock.
The fourth official holds up the board to show there will be three minutes of additional time... Liverpool then get a free kick for a dive on the half way line after Mane had to jump over Klopp’s jaw that came out onto the pitch as he was moaning about something (again)... the free kick is punted (of course) up field towards Stephanie Beatriz who was in an offside position, but it’s a shit ball and Johnny Boulders takes it down on his chest but turns around and is tackled by Stephanie Beatriz who takes the ball and scores...
It goes to VAR... VAR booth, “well, the new rules say this is no goal, what can we do?!”... VAR DECISION - NO GOAL!
Yeah, and if it isn't a legit goal that gets chalked off we'll have a stone wall pen denied. We get all the shite with yellow cards that other teams never seem to pick up.I don't think any of us will be surprised if we get shafted by VAR tonight.
The one flaw in your post is, 'flags immediately''I’ll try and find one. It happens a lot though, people just don’t notice it as it tends to be flagged immediately and doesn’t lead to anything.
