Just my humble opinion, but I can't tell you the number of games sitting in the East stand having my breath taken away by the range, quality of passing and deft movement...simply awe-inspiring.
Pep has created this thing of beauty. But in terms of taking your breath away i'll never forget the City team that beat Tottenham at WHL a few years back, the game where Dzeko ran riot I think, every time City crossed the half way line the Spurs fans were going "oh, oh" in trepidation, you could hear it building with every pass.

Ive actually just woke up trying to think what sort of formation that was last night and my head is spinning, haha, that's what pep has been searching for since day one, the inverted fullback, I can't think who played where, stones and dias were a hybrid cb,cdm, fullback, zinc and cancelo were fullback, cdm, winger inside forward, ect ect

I'm going to leave it there, I actually think this needs that bloke on here that did a tactical breakdown the other match ( forgot the posters name and match)to start a new thread about what we witnessed last night, that was stunning and I would say I dont think I've ever seen such total football

Another radio station saying first time top of table this season,we went top last week when we beat Villa.
What they mean is topping the table at the end of a day, not just a few hours. 9 teams have done that this season.

What people don't understand is that Pep created an 11 man team and not a 1 man team. When we have 1 man down, another steps up to fill his boots. Fans from other teams thought without KDB we will struggle!!! Grin Grin... we don't depend only on KDB like other teams in the league depend on 1 or 2 players only and fall apart if these players are out injured!

We have a team that plays as a unit and anyone in our team can score! I believe we are heading again towards a season with atleast 6 players or more from our team scoring atleast 10 goals each with Foden, Gundo, Sterling, KDB, Jesus, Bernardo even FFS having the potential to reach 10 goals in the league!!

We are on another level, we are becoming a mature team with a solid defence and midfield and we are scoring without even having a striker. Imagine when we get a top striker or if Aguero is back firing what will happen. Can we do the treble this year with the CL??? Let me dream :))

Who knows what tomorrow brings
In a world few hearts survive
All I know is the way I feel
When it's real, I keep it alive

The road is long
There are mountains in our way
But we climb a step every day

City lift us up where we belong
Where the eagles cry
On a mountain high
City lift us up where we belong
Far from the world below
Up where the clear winds blow

Sorry nicked from Officer and a Gentleman but I thought it appropriate for us right now

I don't get all this playing out from the back nonsense is a famous quote from a big fat football dinosaur. Look and learn you fat bastard and you should never get another job in football management. Will obviously resign before season ends to preserve his never been relegated record that sky and talkshite always bring up

Dippers arriving at work this morning were quiet although one who can be a bit of a knob was happy to chat and was full of praise but admitted he turned over at 3:0.
As he is normally a cock I got the feeling we were better than impressive and he has given up already.
Looking forward to watching later when I get up, and reading this thread it looks as if we played like kids in the school yard - no positions just us against them.

A performance that was a fitting tribute to King Colin on the day of his funeral. Well done City and well done our number 8, Gundog.

Yes, and it wasn't lost on the family, either (see the tweet below from Colin's son). I found it pleasing that at Old Trafford on the day after Colin died and then yesterday on the date of his funeral, we put in a couple of excellent displays that the man himself would have absolutely loved.

I’m struggling to remember the last City signing, (probably Aguero) to make such an immediate impact as Dias, but it's equally amazing how the previously anonymous Rodri, Cancelo and Gundogen, have all suddenly become so influential. It feels so fresh, and once more I find myself wondering if Guardiola was deliberately holding something back last Autumn when the team looked slow and pedestrian. Perhaps we went down a scientific route of fitness, but Gundogen in particular, suddenly looks a yard quicker.

My only concern (not so much last night, but moving forward) is Zinchenko’s lack of mobility when the opposition have the ball.

The 2nd goal was an absolute farce, but I’d love to the see a replay of the Aguero goal at Old Trafford last season, which was eventually disallowed, despite the lineman flagging too soon, and Aguero looking onside.

Great post. BM was screaming out to sign Koulibaly at great cost. Thank god we didn’t. Diaz will become the best defender in the world. The way the team have gelled back together since his arrival is unbelievable imo. One of the best signings we’ve made since the takeover without a doubt.
