I seem to recall camelgob referring to us as 'the other team' when he did his post match interview after their 2 minute, crowned as champions win at Sunderland back in 2012..

One of the best days I've ever had supporting City, capped off by his team fucking up an 8 point lead with 6 games to go to throw the title away..

Couldn't bring himself to utter our name the soft ****!..

Bet he didn't think we'd be still hanging around fucking his beloved team over years later too..!

No wonder he fkin hates us..!

Just wait till ushited fall away from the title race, sly will still be installing them as favourites for next season cos they went top for 2 weeks in January.

I mute the lot bud, first time since initial lockdown midweek I put the sound on to hear the VAR discussion and happened to leave it on with Drury/Savage creeping around us.

The downside is as I refuse to have pre-match, HT or even FT turned on that I can miss some live meltdowns but my TV screen is safe & happy.

I'm pretty certain that the TV companies have just bought the various sounds from EA Sports but the way they are played on TV is controlled by somebody in the sound booth.
The AI can control the sound during a video game as it's also controlling pretty much everything else happening, I.E. it knows when there's a near miss, goal, foul or whatever so it plays the right sound at this point.
On TV it will just be a guy with various buttons playing each sound file such as generic noise, home team chants, away team chants, goal, penalty, near miss, etc.

They must have a whole pile of tapes for different situations. The
Palace v Hammers game had a clear rendition of “Bubbles” at one point.

I really wish we could have that option on the red button of muting the commentator(s) but keeping the 'crowd' noise. I'm sure that used to be available at some point. Oh the bliss to have some atmosphere from the ground but not hear the inane ramblings of Tyler, Ian Darke and his accountancy lessons, biased Neville, boring Hoddle, pointless Keown, screeching McManaman and whining Carragher.

Pundit (noun): tells everyone what will happen in a game and then spends time afterwards explaining exactly why it didn't happen.

A waste of space the lot of them.

agree with you. rarely watch them on tv now but when i do its the above.
 
It appears the daily mail read this forum as they have the Ilkay charity story. I didnt click it though, it was on a news thing on my phone
