The Bullshit Broadcasting Corporation aka BBC , and SLY Sports are rotten to the core. The BBC still don’t acknowledge or recognise the child sex abuse that was rife in their ranks but was hushed up by the likes of Esther Rantzen etc.
Makes my blood boil. Their blatant love for anything dipper or rag is brazen. It might as well be Dipper/Rag Tv.
I don’t watch with the sound on any longer, as I can’t control my rage.
The club are too weak to say anything or complain, yet we shower them with favours. Make all the cnuts who turn up to ‘commentate’ buy their own food, drink etc. Like we have to do.
Give them fcuk all!!!

Unfortunately W G Grace was unavailable but Sir Tom deserves any recognition he receives for his efforts, Beckham was a bit of a slap in the face though.
It was a bit like a papal audience but which one was the Pope.
Sir Tom was eying his frame up for a quick get away. Three or four years ago he could have left Beckham standing.
I wonder if the BBC did a similar piece on Tony Hugdell - what a gutsy little lad.

You have touched on something that has wound me up for a long time. The coverage of Rashford and Captain Tom is the crowning turd on the steaming pile of manure we endure on a daily basis. I try to avoid as much social media as I can. My only vices are here, YouTube and I have to have LinkedIn for work.
On the LinkedIn in site you will find low level, self promoting, horribly embarrassing “look at me” examples of the same thing. I met George leaving the train station. He was begging. I spoke to him and it turns out he’s a hero of Goose Green. So I bought him breakfast, a new suit and booked him into a Premier Inn. Work weren’t too bothered cause I own the business. Luckily I had my camera phone to capture the whole thing and share it with you on social media. Let’s all agree how great I am.
what happened to the reward being the act itself?
Talking of steaming turds...

I can't speak of Georges new best pal but do you think Rashfords campaign would have worked without media coverage? How much do you think Captain Tom would have raised if it hadn't been covered? Anywhere close to the circa £39 million or more likely a hundred quid?

Probably not appropriate for an official Twitter page but I think they’re absolutely spot on, non red shirt teams like us and Leeds are fed up of slander by pundits. No pundit would say that about Liverpool’s title win. I think it’s sad it has now become interpreted as sexist and misogynist as surely it doesn’t matter whether it was a man or woman saying it. Surely saying you can only call out a male pundit suggests that a women can’t handle the stick they would get on social media which would be sexist. Unfortunately Leeds have given the red shirt media another stick to hit their rivals with.

Why isn't it appropriate? Reactions from Journo's is brilliant with responses of "this isn't a good look". Why exactly? To me it just sounds like they've been caught out now that clubs have entered their private playground.

I'm not suggesting the City admin do the same, I would rather the club didn't respond to the likes of Ewan McKenna and Harris as it would provide these two insignificant journos with attention from a prestigious club with a large following. I'd rather the club took a legal route.

I’ve got a lot of respect for capt Tom, he just wanted to raise money and didn’t know it would blow up but I agree, it’s being milked now and I couldn’t agree with you more about social media.

I too just have Bluemoon, YT and LinkedIn, that’s it. I too read through LinkedIn at times in utter disgust at the self promotion going on with “good deeds” and the needless bragging people do. Narcissism is absolutely rife in this generation, and it’s not just young people.

If you buy a homeless man a coffee, why do you then need to promote your business on the back of it?

The best indicator of morality is things you do when other people aren’t watching you.

Helping the less fortunate should be something you do without broadcast for accolades.

I understand people saying that at least the less fortunate are getting what they need and I agree, and I understand people saying it encourages others and I agree... however you can still give to the less fortunate and encourage others without being a sanctimonious twat.

Funnily enough a few years back when I left my job in the Civil Service after 30 odd years dealing in law & with people etc I wrote to the club with my CV (seasoncard holder for longer than I'd been a CS) offering my services in any aspect for either PT or FT work...didn't even get an acknowledgement.
Far too many rags walking the corridors of the Etihad. Major purge required.

Leeds United have publicly called out Karen Carney on Twitter over comments she made. Somewhat ironically people like Matterface complaining it just encourages fans to pile on those pundits.

I think we'd say that if clubs held people to account more for the ridiculous and often offensive things they've said it might encourage those pundits to think before they speak and maybe do some research before saying the first bit of shit that comes into their heads.

Good for Leeds.
All the usual suspects are at it, including Harris and our old pal Delooney

Well Leeds can join us in hated 2, probably could add Sheffield United as well with Southampton and Leicester if they continue to stand against the established teams
