Garth is slavering utter pish about Foden.

The talent this young man possess is incredible. Rarely seen. He isn't just comfortable across a front three, but can play the 10 role exceptionally well too. He has superb and abnormal tactical intelligence that you wouldn't expect to see in a 20 year old. Under Pep, he will only get better which is a terrifying prospect.

He's one of the first names on the team sheet now and will be for the foreseeable, but there's a debate about his spot for England? Sure, ok then, Garth. There isn't a talent out there like him in Europe for me and the best part? He's come right through the academy. Hopefully something we benefit more from in the years to come.
I can tell from your use of pish you're not English but, I've seen numerous excuse makers on here say that there's no agenda, it's all in our mind. Well here's an English player who admittedly is nowhere near the finished product but just imagine how good he could be, a potential B d'O winner. Every English media type should be fully behind him.

Although I have very little interest in International football the fact that people like Crooks are calling him over-hyped when I look at other English 'talent' like Rashford, Jessie (what a prospect!!!!) and Greenwood tells us all we need to know about the hatred for all things City, imagine the wankfest if he was a rag or even a dipper.

so the media slagging him off because he plays for manchester city what will say when he plays for england ?
the media reporting on city will have to change because of phil foden ? its got to change and when foden plays like he did on sunday only to see the media and pundits rubbish one of the best performances by a young english player against the media darlings liverpool on their home ground

the KING is dead ? long live PHIL FODEN the new heir to the throne
The media will build Phil up, especially when he plays for England, but then they will knock him down at the first opportunity. That's the way they have always operated. There's a streak of bitterness running through the English media which sets it apart from other countries. To be fair, perhaps they are just pandering to their audience. A lot of people in the UK seem to love revelling in people's downfalls.
I think this is one of the reasons why we have usually failed at International level football. The English football media (especially the tabloids) is mostly a negative and destructive influence. Watching football is a joyous thing for match-going fans but this passion is rarely reflected in press coverage.

garth crooks team of the week

the best quote bar none i have ever read hahahahahahahaah

Foden: I have selected Phil Foden in my team of the week but I must confess I do not see him being ahead of Jack Grealish, James Maddison or Mason Mount. He is undoubtedly talented but at Manchester City, he is surrounded by better, more gifted players. How can he not flourish

wash your mouth out crooks you dirty hatefulness bitterness man

I didn't know Garth Crooks was a crack user. Mind blown.

Yes, it even picks up and drags the chalk to make the lines wider...

Rats. We got rid of all the snakes, it's red rats we have problems with now. That and fairweather Dublin GAA fans.
Follow the blues and the Dubs, not fairweather part of Heffos army in the late seventies. Mum from north Dublin her family all rags, thankfully msnc dad a loyal blue and I followed him.

Yes but what you're showing is classic Confirmation Bias and paranoia. I have rarely heard such hype about a young English player like I've heard this week. The papers are doing features on him. He was the main interview on Football Focus. Talk Sport have talked about practically nothing else. I bet his agent's phone is ringing incessantly. Yet we've got post after post on here because some obscure nomark "pundit" in some corner of the internet probably hasn't watched him and is clueless enough to make a daft comment like that.

Your concern should be that Foden is getting overexposed and hyped, not the other way around.

Too right. Some of them managed to fuck Gascoignes career, and head, right up.
